I go with 2). We haven't seen her in a skirt, have we? Plus the colours of that outfit and her hair are close to my heart so easiest choice in the history of easy choices.

Furthermore, I agree with the date theory. All of them seem too nice outfits to be regular clothes.

yeah this is cool but we don't know the place that Zoey is gonna wear those outfits, those outfits looks like Christmas party themed considering red black and white colors.

New Year party, we already passed Christmas.
My first thought was about the date on her route at Ep.12.

If I chose to date a character like Zoey, I wouldn't like her wearing something completely out of her style for our date.

I think that DPC made a mistake in selecting those outfits for her.

Exactly. Animation and rendering is the time sink. Which can be bought for by the hour on remote render farms.

Music is already bought, and some of that is already being cycled as per EP11.

Doing all the screens for scenarios and their scenes/multiple paths also takes time, but not as much, which is what he should be focused on.

Not saying his animation is bad, but others can be paid to do such work, do it better and faster, and literally cut the time by 1/3 at the minimum.

But DPC doesn't care; it's his pet project that happens to be popular, making mucho money, and that's that. More time, more money. Lazy? Efficient? Who knows.

He may not do lazy writing, but he's lazy in everything else.

DPC has been critisized for outfits for long. He often chooses cheap assets that look very basic, while the DAZ store has real gems.
Look at Sage in-game for example, she wears second-hand rags
