The ring is optional and I doubt fighting Caleb will be. I predict that Caleb won't be able to face MC in the ring even if MC is competing and so Caleb will pick a fight at the NYE party.
That would be counterproductive, especially since Caleb is no longer a pledge. Alphas are still restricted from engaging in conflicts with the DIKs, and fighting in front of the entire college staff does not seem like the most ideal scenario.
That's true, but Caleb knows when to fight, which is why he didn't end up causing trouble in chapter 7. So it wouldn't be surprising if he waited for the best moment to pick a fight with the MC.
I think you are giving him too much credit. At best he is looking for an excuse. Like the whole him being just a pledge thing. That was total BS. If the DIKs had called the police the alphas would have all been in trouble. They thought Caleb and Darius being pledges mattered because they are idiots. The reason DIKs didn't go to the cops was because they would have gotten into trouble because of the drugs, but the alphas don't get that. So now that the alphas are looking to fight the DIKs because of Magnar's letters Caleb isn't going to hold back.
