I go for early Sep as the release as that is 18 months from ep 11 release. The 18 months is a straight up assumption, though. I haven't made any calculations for it mainly because I consider there to be too many variables that I don't have access to. Like when exactly did his machines actually start the rendering for ep 12? When exactly did the progress reach the 60% (or whichever milestone used)? How long should we allow for testing and potential delays like one of his machines crashing again?

But if someone else wants to give it a go I'd like them to get the math right so that any inaccuracy is at least the result of flawed starting assumptions.

Trying to accurately predict a Being a DIK release date is the path to madness, trust me on this one Roger...

When exactly did DPC started working on 12, how many animations/statics still need to be posed (doubt even DPC knows this yet, considering how he is always adding things late in development when he feels a path is lacking content), how much is actually 60% done.

This is useful since animations files can be merged, so the number in the render queue we normally get aren't as useful. The real number is a big higher after 2 weeks, but we can know for certain.

This is pure speculation of course, but if we go by the old data in MPA bigtable we can see a trend of static renders and animation quantity always increasing. Considering this is a season finale and just how much we know about DPC by now I'm sure this update won't be any different.

So considering past trends I'm expecting a ~20% bump to static and animation (maybe a bit less in animations) count from EP 11. Which would make EP 12 feature around 8500 statics and 470 animations.

where he said he was 55% done with posed animations, but DPC is notorious for giving us bad data and just increasing the quantity later making those % obsolete.

Meanwhile, I'm quite confident about my static guess, think of how complex the pathing is getting, this requires an ever increasing amount of renders. The Zoey factor in particular will be brutal, DPC will have to render images for all MGs break up paths, this a huge number of requerided statics.

We are also getting a NYE party that by itself will around 3K statics by itself, which 100% marks this update as a beast, since this can't be a situation where the party dominates most of the update like EP 9 since we knew there will be other things happening in this update (Staff party, Tournament, visiting MG homes in Xmas, Bellas door fallout, Others dates).

So in the end, we can't know for sure, but can only trust in what we know, which is how DPC operates and that bastard is never in a hurry.

This means don't expect an update before the 15 months mark (EP 11 dev cycle) because DPC is always increasing the amount of content.

I made a bet on the 4th of September (with brutal consequences should I get it wrong), and I stand with it.

We are barely over the halfway point brothers, brace yourselves, this will get harder before it can get any easier...

So he never specifcally says "3 parts" only uses the Halloween party as an example of how characters will move around a bit as the party progresses. It could be done in 2 or maybe even 4, but we also had characters change positions in each part of Ep 9.

For example, look at all these changes that can happen in the main party room in the 2nd part of the Ep 9 party:





All these changes are based on paths and what order you chose to do different events in and they all happened in just one part of the party so DPC can also be referencing this sort of thing.

The freeroam event will cover the entire campus, spread across three simultaneous and separate parties.

60% done with Ep. 12 after 280 days means he will be finished after approximately 447 days, which gives us a ballpark release date of June 17th, 2026.

You have to take into account that DPC started developing ep12 way earlier than ep11 was released and that his minions also need around a month to thoroughly test the game beforehand. Besides, June 17 doesn't even fall on Friday. Around mid-January DPC told us to have begun writing and coding for ep12 and about 4 weeks later he had enough images and animations ready to start rendering. If DPC continues at the same pace, the episode could be ready for testing by some time in July. However, there's also an unknown factor - a stack of brand new GPUs. We don't know much the upgraded hardware will be able to accelerate the development moving forward. In theory it could be roughly around 30%, so perhaps you accidentally did shout out an approximately correct release date
