The first one is probable, there's precedent. The second one... uhhh, something tells me no. BUT some of us have been saying that Episode 12 will open on a Bella flashback, end on a shot of the nursery, then fade to present day where it's dark and mournful. Maybe instead of that, there's a montage of Bella waiting for James to come back over 3 years... hmmm... now that I write it out, that seems even less likely.... eh forget it.
Basically I'm thinking my latter suggestion of a Bella flashback animation with sappy music is possible because they've done something similar with Maya and Derek's mum but it was just standard static renders.

This I'm thinking could be animated simply because of how much DPC has teased it and clearly views it as a truly important sequence.

It's really only important to Bella players though, the same way the Baileys' opening is really just important to Maya players.

Always nice to see basic arguments being thrown in peoples faces be removed on a forum designed to have such arguments.

I guess we're not here to learn or argue. But just circle jerk.

Banned for a month for using...stats from another big AAA game in this forum, to compare to BaD. Swell.

Now, my simple replies to fanboys who can't think past their nose get removed?

Mods: you're shit. Or, you've got some whiny fanboys who can't hear their own words and live in ignorant hypocrisy. Either way, this game and forum attracts gleeful children who can't tolerate differing opinions.

It may be for a sequence when the New Year starts, or for the concert at the teacher's party, or when you win the tournament and celebrate.

For LIs sure, but as a whole I think DPC sees the "revelation" of Bella's backstory one of the most important narrative moments of the back half of the game.
Sure, but he's probably overestimating how much of the playerbase cares about this particular mystery, just like Maya's loan problem.

I think you're misunderstanding my point. It's not how much of the playerbase that I think care. It's how much I think DPC cares about it.

To me I think in DPC's mind this reveal about Bella's backstory is basically The Most Important Arc of Season Three. They've teased it all season with animations before (the animation at the very start of Episode 9 before the Tommy jumpscare) and it's the main reason people thought that the last three episodes have gone "nowhere" plot-wise (despite all the ways they clearly did).

The Bella flashback seems very probable, I wonder when we get to the "present day" if it will be the what's behind Bella's locked door, or if DPC will fast forward the story and let us hanging again :HideThePain: and only show the mystery at the middle of the update or something

And I'm saying regardless of how much value he places on it, it's not going to land very well. As a big fat Bella simp myself, even I don't care that much about it. Not saying I don't care at all, but I don't believe the reveal will be as earth-shattering as DPC probably thinks. Again, like Maya's loan problem, that was a huge plotline running throughout the entire game that just barely concluded. Clearly very important to DPC. And a lot of people did not like it.

Unless the locked room reveal really is something mind-numbingly stupid like James' dead body or a drug lab, it probably won't be worth all this "hype".

It probably won't land how they expect it to, but I think we're both in agreement that DPC is going to do exactly what they want regardless.

He made it like that. DPC baited the player again and again with Bella's door topic, the constant hints about her mental state, and the MC's line in the past tense "I wouldn't kiss her, I would cry for help." He elevated this topic to one of the most important plot mysteries, and players have high expectations for Bella's arc.
It would be funny if there was nothing particularly serious behind that door, or just another problem that would resolve itself.

The expectations for this revelation are unrealistic, especially on the part of people who have been theorizing about it for years. I think it's fair to say that the revelation won't satisfy many players. Personally, I don't care what happens; I have no expectations for episode 12.

As for chapter 9, it's a glorified freeroam, not a chapter.
