Because he was panicking over the choices he made. He really, really didn't need one of his closest friends turning on him, let alone the one that is best friends with a staff member. There is formula for that,

all girls ( side + main) multiply by three ( neutral, dik and chick) then subtract it to 3(IYKYK)

Yeah i get he was Panicking and all but the shape of his character as a Dik should at least lie about it considering he already saw those pics on the wall and he should know it wasn't him in it before Jill saw them.
On the Dik path you could get a BJ from Heather (despite Tommy) and fucking Jade in the kitchen (despite Sage) and all other Dik stuff he did so a little Lying and manipulation (with actual truth in them) would be nothing for him.

To me SGs who are LIs are characters who've had genuine character development in relation to a relationship when it comes to Fuckface. So Nicole, Nora, Quinn, Jade, Lily, and Sally for example. Characters like Becky are just sex scenes. They may have multiple instances of this but that's all they appear in where any convo before hand is basically "proceed to sex".

Quinn is the main bitches of the game. She's important to the plot, even if you don't choose her.

Then there are the five female friends - S, B, J, J+M. Then there's the Side Girls, but not all SG are LY.

Season 9 showed us the division. The "Others" route - Tremolo doesn't want an exclusive relationship.
And he texts the girls he wants just to keep dating.
They are LY (+Zoey):

In episodes 12-14, relationships may start (LY):
Bianca - a classic, perfect, red-haired babe who appears in the route with another perfect girl, to create a difficult choice. Most likely the next Main LY.
Camila and Melanie - making progress, but not yet ready due to their past work at the restaurant.
Sarah - doesn't want a relationship. A big D chord will fix that over time, but not today.

With the other girls, it's just casual sex (no LY):
Sandy - not interested in a relationship.
Heather - won't start a new relationship because she just broke up.

This is so you finally understand that Saint Quinn is the very reason the game was created in the first place. I'm glad some AVN authors have already realized this and have started adding Quinn to their games so there's at least one interesting character.
