Yeah I think Josy stays with maya cause she is just going along with the stream. Maya is a comfort option she is used to but that spark isn't there. She just has a hard time coming to terms with it. She has trouble putting herself out there and making a move even when she wants too. Like when you sleep with her the first time or make out on the bench. MC had to make the move or show interest first. She also doesn't want to hurt Maya but that seems impossible in this scenario.

You're still playing for the first time so I won't say anything specific, but MC and Josy did not have a real conversation before the first episode, and they worked together for about two months. And if you ignore Josy as much as possible, she's still just as infatuated with MC. I'd call it a huge crush rather than being in love.
