Can anyone help me out with a save state question?

Ok so I originally had this on steam. Downloaded the version on here today. Are the saves non compatible between the two?

If they are compatible where do they go? I'm confused because the game folder has saves but there is also the renpy folder in roaming that has saves. Which is the real one lol. Also is the persistance file needed as well?

I have 3-4 save files total all seaon 1 end branch saves, ChiK path, Dik path and a hybrid(neutralish). I'd rather not have to play through again but I guess I would if I have to.

I put the save files in both folder locations mentioned above and it says incompatible save so what am I doing wrong?

No you won't be able to use your steam saves with the version you downloaded from here.

If you thinking the obvious of why don't you play the steam version since you purchased it well that's because I don't particularly like having hours and hours of BAD on my activity feed lol.

Oh My Godness...AL is probably one on the best games on Earth and I have to tell you guys...the fact that it's not a Mainstream game (obviously) literaly sucks! I laughed and cryed a lot, i got depressed with the plot twist and I just didn't wanna finish the game for days!!! Amazing storytelling, amazing characters...everything amazing with Acting Lessons.

Everything about Acting Lessons was perfection especially Melissa it is by far my favourite game. I really liked The Deluca Family and Become A Rock Star.

You can always download here and support on Patreon. That's what I did after playing S1.

I'll bite and give my two cents on Bella conspiracies.

Straightforward think it has to be a situation where James is an incredible man that is unfortunately very sadistic. Looked upwards by his peers and everyone around, but behind closed curtains he's a Machiavellian villain who loves to gaslight Bella. Contextually, Bella is very down to Earth, well read and such, which slightly disaproves my theory, yet still would serve as a shock factor if deep down has a complex or phobia that evades her rationale.

Thank you for sharing your theory. I don't know the story of AL but your theory is quiet interesting and shocking at the same time. From a writer perspective it seems very interesting but for me as a player ... I'm not sure If I would like such a depressing end for the character.
The game tries really hard to build up an emotional connection between the player and all the characters. It's been mostly fun. But there were also these sad moments. I think, if these moments become more extreme the game will be less fun.

It's alright if they have some kind of substance to them and not just some random thoughts on the mind that include and overkill of violence. I think some just get to carried away especially with regards to the Bella subject.

We can all agree that Maya and Josy story in ep4 is really poorly writen but what does DPCs patrons say about that? Did he replyed to anyone about that?

Undoubtedly this is the worst part of this game that can ruin the beautiful experience,

the MC is also a college students and fucked almost every girl in the school, the story line did not go to the way that girls will find out truth of the MC, but even let the MC to decide which girl to end with (also choice driven),

In acting lessons there are majorly only melissa and megan and they finally decide to live together without any feeling of betrayl

I dont get it why DPC is doing this in BADIK, really hurt the feeling of Maya and Josy lovers

I loved the AL endings even though some were really depressing but I don't think it would fit this game and if it happened I don't think I would play another DPC game. I even kinda want Maya to have a happy ending but without Josy.

The MC wasn't in a relationship with either Josy or Maya when he fucked other people. Josy was in a relationship already and told the MC she was going to move away and then stopped answering her phone. He didn't know exactly what was going on with her relationship and didn't even know if he would see her again so it would be pretty stupid to wait around for someone who he may never see again.

As for Maya they weren't in a relationship either but she lead him on and never told him she was already with someone and they were planning to be together in college.

Also he may not have fucked anyone else. My main playthrough I rejected everyone while waiting for Josy. After the Josy/Maya thing though my main playthrough is with Sage waiting for Riona and fucking everyone possible.

I also felt that scene was out of my DIK character... I presume DPC needed a sort of "shocking situation" to push the MC into Bella's/Sage's/Derek's paths... Personally, I would have preferred if this was the CHICK reaction only. My DIK reaction should have been exactly like Derek said: threesome. It's literally the first thing that came to my mind! The DIK MC proposes that, Maya and Josy refuse, the MC says "Screw you guys, I'm going home!" and he goes to Bella or Sage or Derek... I would have preferred to be rejected immediately, because being rejected at the end of episode 4, after Maya and Josy try to reconcile with the MC, it's a bit... I don't know. It's a bit schizoid and hurts even more.

I don't know. Does this possible DIK reaction make sense? Or is it stupid? It's not easy to make up a credible scene that could lead to the MC going to Bella's/Sage's/Derek's... Now that I try to imagine a possible alternate scene, I understand it wasn't easy for DPC either.

Maybe, rather than being a drama queen, I would have also preferred if the MC acted more mature: "OK girls, you clearly need some time to talk and clarify your feelings, I prefer to stay out of this, I'm going to search for another place to stay. No hurt feelings. Bye!" or something like that.

All the girls should get a good ending with regards to Maya she needs something good to happen to her getting away from her Dad will be the first step of that and making a good living for herself albeit with either Josy or the MC.

with all due respect, the majority of players do not just skip and reject every girl they met (how could they say NO to Bella lol), while majority play it as an normal while abnormal adult game, the reaction of MC is just disturbing and unpleasant, come on, everyone will die to see two good girls and think about a threeway relationship, rather than acting like an idiot that thinks way too much.

frankly, I take it as a try that DPC wants to blow up minds of players as usual but failed so entirely
