Josy and mc are likely same age and before college they seem to have lived close to each other. (In bike range) How come that they never met before this summer job in their hometown?

Because kids who live in the same area don't always go to the same school. There are 4 other towns near my home town, all of them have high schools and my home town even has 3 primary schools. Some people I knew in primary school went to those other high schools and I'm pretty certain there's people who lived in my home town that I've never known even though we were the same age because they went to different schools.

No guarantee she grew up in that town. Her history with Maya would indicate she grew up where-ever Maya did. Her parents aren't together so maybe one of them moved in during whatever circumstances made Tommy her step-brother.

Yeah, she was at least in the same town as the MC during her high school years as I believe it's mentioned during the flashback how she travels to her and Maya's school each day. Also, Maya tells the MC she knows the town he's from as she's been there before, likely when visiting Josy.

Do more than one playthrough. There are many minor choices that add flavor to the game that are DIK or CHICK only.
There are a few choices that require you to be neutral as well.

Remember that you can speed through seen content with CTRL and you can use saves to do different paths while being a DIK or CHICK in one playthrough instead of repeating it all. You can label the save pages at the top and keep things separated that way for easy navigation.

Yes, you have to alternate, otherwise you will have (temporary) DIK or CHICK affinity.
You can check your status and affinity on your phone.
I recommend to check the excellent official guide linked in the OP. ( #49,935 )

However, focusing too much on that might ruin a bit of the fun the first time around. Dictating your own choices too much by a number.

Going from DIK to CHICK and back however is not something I've done. Keeping it at either 7 to 8 or -7 to -8 and then pushing it to HUGE DIK/CHICK or NEUTRAL when there's an upcoming action that requires it in the walkthrough, will give you access to a few more choices.

I don't know. I always played them, but I lowered the brawler to easy since I got tired of it. No penalties there at least.

You get secret renders first time around but if you start a new game and turn them off then they'll be turned off for future episodes as well meaning you won't get the new secret renders if you make this your main save. Also, I don't know if it will affect your "tests passed" stat and if that will be valuable later on or not.

Newsflash, neither of them was your Girlfriend, if anything they cheated on each others with you a third party, that they both fell attraction, so that's why they forgive each other so easily .

If I’m not totally wrong, but now the results don’t affect the girls in any way... yet(?)
but in the future, season 2 or 3 could be affected.

Example:
If MC is bad in math or English then Jill doesn’t like it.
As Mya doesn't like if MC is a bad feminism thing.

But this would probably add too much variation to things(Girl/chick and DIK pts+Test results)
