So, in my view, Maya was never actually gay, she only assumed she was because she formed an emotional connection with Josy that developed into romance. But had the MC, or a guy like him, been there for Maya at the time Josy was, then she would be in a relationship with them and consider herself straight.
Yeah, I really find it weird how so many still insist on Maya being gay even after her experience with MC.
You either are or you're not. She's emotionally and physically attracted to MC which proves that she's bisexual and probably always was. How is this still being debated and argued?

having sex with both a man and a woman does not make you bisexual

Skipping past the whole dodgy topic of inherent, learned or mistaken sexual identities as that can only derail this very badly.....

Placing Maya in the bottom of my list isn't because she's not believable. It's just on the weight of facts - I don't particularly want to go down that path.

- She's my best Bro's sister
- Her response to relationship troubles is sending abusive texts and messages
- Her decisions seem to be based on whoever talks to her last

So as there are other options and I can choose to keep my distance, I do.

If I was forced down the path of Maya like we were for Meghan in AL then I'd probably not be Patreoning or all that intrested in the development of the game.

I think that probably once MC is only friends with the two girls (without offering them anything more) it will be difficult to reopen a love route, without your precise choice

you can be a heterosexual who had a (one or even more) homosexual experience or the opposite (for many reasons)

many homosexuals have had heterosexual experiences to test themselves
Okay, that's a rabbit hole I'm not willing to dive into right now.
But we were talking specifically about Maya.
Because for her, this was not a one time experience, not a fling, and definitely not an experiment.

we don't know how many times she has had sex with Josy

with MC one or two partial sex depending on the path

grinding of course doesn't count

What about the emotional attraction? Which should've been brought up in the first place.
You can't reduce this to how many times she had sex with either of them and base your opinion solely on that, that's ridiculous.

it seems a little complicated to count the times when there would have been attraction ...

do we count every time MC and Maya talked to each other? I don't think it's more correct

...Times? You have some narrow and reductionist views on this whole thing...
No, I'm talking about what's been said and how MC and Maya reacted to each other at various points throughout the story.

I speak of "how many times" to find a minimum objective ground.

the espisodes between the two change according to the choices of the players, so it becomes difficult to evaluate.

MC is certainly attracted because he tells us directly, what Maya feels in every moment is a subjective sensation.

when she says she has a boyfriend is she attracted? could be... or not

seeing a movie together, sharing several pleasant moments for two roommates seems little to me to establish these strong feelings

even more if we want to give these episodes an absolute value, making them become proof of her true sexual orientation

finally in 2 out of three cases (no pact or pact refused) between Josy and MC, Maya chooses MC, in no one she chooses only MC

This is a case of hindsight being 2020 - how many gay men that are/were previously married to women knew they were gay from the start?

Right now Maya is in a Mexican standoff love triangle with both a man and another woman, that makes her bisexual whether she settles on one way later on or not.

Are you intentionally ignoring what Maya tells MC in Episodes 4 and 5? Specifically the Gender Studies class scene? Or the preps party scene (provided you choose to go after her).
Are you forgetting what Derek tells MC before he implores him not to hurt his sister?

I'll more or less stop playing if the Bella option falls through I've spent most of the game focusing on her, it is going to suck doing all that for nothing, don't get me wrong it is a good game but I hate predictable outcomes and if the husband shows up that would be a nail in the coffin for me... but that is just my opinion.
Well it doesn't have to be a bad thing... it can be a point to develop the character even more... just because he appears does not mean that it has to be the end for the route.
It can actually make it even more interesting.

If however that event does cut your course then yes, I'm with you it will suck.

I think you should calm down ...

I never said that among them there is no attraction, but that it is difficult to establish how important and profound it is

those episodes you mention, however, 2 out of 3 times lead to "let's be friends", while in 3 out of 3 times Maya stays with Josy

so at least I would say it is less profound and important than what she feels for Josy

There really isn't anything that stretches believeability with her story. I've personally met and helped a troubled young woman with much less believeable life story than hers in my life...

No, it's not difficult. It's as important and as profound as it gets. No girl will ever burst into tears in a public space begging a guy to give her another chance if she only has a crush on him. Period.

Episode 5 demonstrates that neither Josy or Maya are even remotely happy with the idea of being just friends with MC. And Josy even explains why she very reluctantly agreed to that.

you have many more certainties than me

the two girls will have had doubts (more Josy than Maya anyway) but the choice they make is that, their priority remains to defend their relationship
