And yet therein lies the strange dichotomy; Maya who is not a bad character is perceived as such by a number of people and is why they have no interest in her, yet Quinn who is shown to be a bad person doing bad things is perceived as a good character and many people are interested in her despite her being legitimately bad.

That's only by the people here. Quinn is certainly not portrayed as an Angel in game, or a character you'd really want to help out like Maya.

You are acting as if there’s one set of things that make a character of interest to all people.
I never hated maya but I wasn’t particularly attracted to the docile sweet ingenue archetype. Clearly the people who wanted that got angry that she wasn’t quite that.

Personally I love lots of quinn’s Character traits. I love her She’s playful, assertive, independence etc. Nor do I particularly take a black and white view to all of her activities/plans that some do.

And yet it is an answer. I mean what, is he going to start sending out merch (which costs money!!!) for a porn game? How many people would actually want a DIK tee shirt? Would you wear it in public? Creators on Patreon have to provide SOMETHING to their patrons. By giving them control over something in the game, they feel engaged, but because it isn’t story related he gets to make his story how he wants.

I mean there's already a clothing brand named Dickies that people likes to wear, also, i don't know where you live but people in the US doesn't care what others wears since people gets offended so easily on everything lol, but I agree, special renders are much better than merchandises.

There's nothing strange with that. People may find villains more interesting and complex, just like some find good guys bland and boring. Villains through their villainy, present to us the harsh realities that exist in the world. They provide us with glimpses of the real world and it’s problems. Some also change our perspectives on things and provide new insight into the way of the world. Villains are just broken heroes’. If someone made a movie on their journey from a hero to a ruthless villain, we’ll root for them ( Am I right Joker ?).

You forgot that 30% of patreons vote for Josy or Maya. A system that never rewards them with special renders of their favorite LIs is not a system that rewards all patreons. This is one aspect of the first flippityflop post that you did not take into account in your answer.
DPC has already dealt with this once (poll Maya vs. Quinn) and will definitely deal with it in the future.

How did I miss this piece of art?

It seems he's relying on the patrons to tell him which special render sets to add, but because M&J are still seemingly on most patron's bad books, they can't get a fair shake in these polls. It's the same with Quinn and she's finally getting a set in ep 6 after only after losing the "losers poll" against Maya for a set in ep 5.

DPC should just add a Maya set or a Josy set unilaterally since it's looking like it'll be pretty one-sided from now on, unless these other 3 fall out of favour with patrons in the next few episodes and M&J get better. Otherwise, they'll probably run a poll for ep 7 with Bella, Jill, Maya, and Josy, and M&J will once again be left in the dust.

For now the LIs are tied in number of sets, except for Jill but as they get more I doubt he won't eventually remove those who already have one more from the polls until they are all tied again. We shouldn't be getting a Jill one for a while.

It's not that strage that you can start disliking someone the more you know them, right? Most other girls have their problems from the start, so you know what you're getting into, Sage and Chad, Bella and her husband... The only one who has this downwards spiral problem is Maya (for now ). I don't think even Josy has it.
