I think you may still be able to obtain a "good ending" as a DIK, but what I'm not certain about is which LI is going to get a good ending that the player wants. I'm guessing Jill fans will get a good ending simply because they've had to put up with blue balling for so long. Maya seems like DPC's "It girl" so I think she will have a good ending too. I'm not as optimistic about a threesome ending with Josy, but I think Josy might get a decent solo ending. Bella, no way is she getting a happy conclusion to her story. I'm on the fence about Sage. As a graduating senior who is most definitely going to get a job in the corporate world and move away, it's difficult to see her waiting around for a rising sophomore MC who still has some growing up to do.

We obviously don't agree, I think the sex scene's in this game suck, except for those that have good enough dialogue that you can ignore the bad animations.

And yes, I do prefer story in a visual novel, imagine that.

In principle, DPC does everything on its own. The fans of "Being a Dik" are eager for every new episode.

If now DPC should create super animation with 30 frames or more per second, (maybe even 4k) then we probably wait a year per episode. I assume DPC can do that.

Some people probably don't know what the effort is. I have my experiences with Poser, Daz3D etc. too. It's not just click there and click there, render done.

DPC does a great job and has a super compromise between quality and quantity.

I can only say thank you DPC for "Being a DIK".

Agreed that she's cute, but genetics are a funny thing. Though quite rare, there are the occasional blue-eyed children in Japan, and even an occasional natural blonde. Extremely uncommon, and I've never seen one person who got both traits without some sort of albinism, but it has happened. And like a lot of cultures that were primitive in the last few thousand years, many were sacrificed to appease their gods, further reducing the likelihood of them showing up in later generations.

Much like the Sage backstory (is she Tyb's sib?) I think we really just need a chance to chill out with her more and get the real details. Turn her into more than a casual bit of fun on the side. Why? So we can absolutely interfere with that genetic makeup.

There's also his unwillingness to give his patrons a clear road map of where he's going with the game and when he expect's to get there.

As to the quality of the renders I'll just mention in passing some of the well debated topics like 'Giantess Jill' or her sometimes creepy facial expressions. Maya's skin, which bears more relation to a lunar landscape than a teenaged girl's complexion, her ever changing boob size, or the way they look like a bad silicone job when she's lying down. Sage's multi-color body in the quiet sex scene. Bella's ridiculous body type (and the body type's of Bella 2 & 3 on Swyper). Just go back through this thread and you'll find scores more examples.

All together what started out as a promising game has, IMHO become nothing but a tawdry cash grab marketed at 12 to 14 year old boys, a sad specticle.

I find it crazy that anyone would pay so much for a "custom render" when some of the fan art rivals, if not exceeds, the original's quality, but nobody's forcing anyone to pay anything.

I can't see how the game can be labelled a cash grab though. It's clear a huge amount of effort goes into the game (assuming it really is just one guy doing everything), and it's immensely popular; the game strikes a cord with so many people. Sure there are heaps of contrivances driving the fairly shallow plot, but it's not meant to be Shakespeare...

There are heaps of completely shit games on this site being churned out quickly with no integrity, just hoping to make a quick buck - that's a cash grab.

This game contains loads of nuanced actions and direction that just tickle some people the right way, I'm not talking Hitchcockian direction here, but little details that most game developers here wouldn't even contemplate. It's obviously a labour of love.

I know you've got an axe to grind with DPC, but when it comes down to it, you've said it yourself, it's simply the case that this isn't your type of game. It's not a strongly plot driven vehicle, it's a situation driven vehicle connected with contrived plots. That's pretty much the premise of every sitcom ever. You're probably not a fan of sitcoms either.

As far as we are aware, you've blown it if you get friend zoned at that point. Who knows what's to come though, but it seems like that's a turning point in the road for that relationship.

Yes, I hope in ep. 7 we get the rest of their back story. How in the world did those two end up together after that dodgy first encounter and how did Heather get in a wheelchair?

In terms of backstory, I hope we might get a bit more of M&J's after the Dad's visit. I'm interested to know a bit more aobout the how and when of him finding out and what went with that all separation they were going through, specifically how long it went on for. To be at the point they were at when this game started, I reckon this would have had to have been going on for months.

Because god damnit you should not be blocked from them, or from Jade, or Nicole/Envy this early, if the almighty DPC really intends to do 14-20 episodes, which I heavily doubt but hey if so, why block us now???? Oh yeah, so he can burn our number 1 choice to ashes and we will then get the pity fucks from all of them and can reopen relationship paths....

In terms of Affinity putting these blocks up, I do think that it's not the best system because it often seems to negate what would seem like plausible opportunities for the player based on the sum total of their actions with certain characters and can sometimes remove an element of choice that you feel you should have in certain situations.

I'm trying to be, only because I hope that this time they'll stick to the unwritten principle of adult VNs that characters you enter a relationship with should be characters you can end the game with.

Truthfully though, there are a few games on this site with really good stories and almost no sex. Fortunately, BaDIK has both a fun story and very good sex scenes. If you are really serious about not trying them all out on multiple playthroughs then you're missing out on a ton of good content, but to each their own.

I really want to, but its kinda like Bioware / Telltale / Dontnod games. I want to do a "canon" playthrough before I do another run, mainly because I dont want to have doubts if I choose right or wrong, and just want to keep a role-playing perspective going. Sadly (and thankfully) BaDIK ending will take a while.

You probably wont get another shot. Seems to big of choice by the end of the season. Pretty sure you'll be able to break it up down the line and go for just one, and hopefully you'll get another shot at a solo path too.

Doubt bust size affects the characters popularity. People aren’t fond of M&J because of their smaller bust but rather the whole threesome situation
