It's different everywhere but here you have to take 30 credit hours per year or 15 per semester for an undergraduate degree. You have to attend those classes even if you don't need to study, have no work outside class, and spend your non-class time screwing around. And we're talking about a private college here that the MC paid for himself, not some public one anyone could get into on student loans, so pissing your own money away is pretty much not something anyone would do. I realize most college students aren't paying out of pocket for their educations but that's not the narrative here.

The MC takes three classes on an irregular schedule and studies one class per might at most. He never has any homework or research or lab work or anything else students normally have. And he spends most of his time fraternizing with people outside his own academic year.

So recently checked the reddit thread of BeingADik.
That must be the meeting place for some of the weirdest people on earth based off their messages.
I get it, it's a porn game. You expect some strange people in a community like that.
But my god, some of them are acting a bit too obsessive about these pixelated women.

With Maya and Josy is different. The question should be, why people are attacking them in the first place?
And no, is not tits and pussy, all of this girls are charming in a personal level. Quinn story is a whole trope into literature, the anti-hero, a character who even if it is a criminal, and take morally wrong choices the lector can like couse we see where he is coming from.
Maya and Josyare also likeable in a really simple trope. They are just characters on some classic love story (with some new additions).

And guys this tropes work regarding of sexuality. You feel simpathy for thoose guys even if they re male and you are an heterosexual male.

Hmmm. Maybe your partially on to something tho, in school, I did have someone that had many behaviors like hers, that stemmed from her damage. (She didn't start my compulsion to solve the human puzzle but she was one i spent a long time piecing together)

Yes, it wouldn't be as easy for him to just wander in, but if he showed up looking for his daughter one of the other HOTs might let him in and he could see her hanging out with Josy, or Josy might be the one to answer the door and then the jig is up. So even if Maya wanted to still be in the HOTs, they'd still be in the same place together and risk her Dad finding out.

Josy joining the HOTs and moving into the sorority while Maya quitting the HOTs and staying in the dorm room kind of solves Maya's problem with dad, at least temporarily. As long as Josy doesn't spend a bunch of time in Maya dorm, there isn't much chance of dad catching them in the act.

Staying with the HOTs has one major advantage, her dad can’t come snooping around.

I have to agree with Holy Bacchus here. Maya herself spoke with great disdain about the HOT's in EP1. Then Quinn mentally abused her. Maya is definitely not going to the HOT's.

Josy is the key to solving DPC problems. If the player chooses Jill in EP6, the Sage path will be disabled. Accordingly, DPC needs Josy in the HOT's house to continue the story.

Josy is also the key for Jill. DPC has allowed a friendship to develop between Josy and Jill. If the Jill path is deactivated because you selected Sage in EP6, Josy will probably pass information about the Tybalt blackmail to the MC.

Theory
When the MC talks to Rusty about Maya helping him when he had no place to sleep, Rusty may agree to let Maya stay at the MC for 1-3 nights. Derek calls the father and tells him that Maya has a Boyfriend. The father comes over and looks through the library window and sees his Maya sleeping close together with the MC. All is well that ends well.
