3. Yes, but in the context of Zoey he was telling Bella a specific story. This entire game is MC's recollection of an important time in his life, and he starts with Josy. There must be a reason for this that ties into an unavoidable plot element. I say that foreshadowing and precedent indicates this involves tragedy. (PS - and that tragedy involves Bella chopping off Josy's head with the axe in her garden shed after she catches her trying to pull an Ocean's Eleven to get the MC and Jill into her secret locked room)

I feel like Maya is getting a lot of unnecessary hate just because DPC has a shit story line for her and then it's executed even shittier. Does anyone else remember the first episodes sharing a room with her, without any drama and bullshit ?

It was obvious what the big reveal of Maya's secret was going to be and that it would be severely anticlimactic. DPC's poor attempt to pad it out (for no reason) just carpet bombed the MC/Maya/Josy relationship for several episodes straight.
If you think about it, the whole thing could have been handled in a different way simply by knowing why Maya needed the free tuition in advance. That would have changed literally nothing from the impact that there is no free tuition, but would have reduced the drama stupidity significantly.

2- I didn't get that take, but even if so, DPC's mentor is Philly Games. Philly had absolutely no problem killing many folks, including the main character off in his initial game, which was by the way (Depraved Awakenings) far better than DPC's initial (Acting Lessons)
3- you might be right, but the MC we have now is not the MC of that simple date with Josy, and the simple next date at her house. Both the MC and Josy have evolved, and not necessarily for better or worse, but most definitely different. Hell Week eclipsed every other bad decision the MC ever made in his entire life, as Hell Week is intended to do. Reflection on events and decisions prior to that, at this point would be more nostalgic than anything else.

Not really because its not like they act cold towards the MC if they reject you, hell Josy still seems to almost prefer the MC to Maya and if anything she and Maya are becoming more distant..its likely the MC & Josy reconnect soon

Also I played the Chik path as well once and it felt off and weird, its clear the threesome relationship will likely not end well. This whole direction hurts Maya more than Josy because Josy still feels more like her own character while Maya is too connected with Josy now and has nothing else going for her

Oh Maya drives the hole story. She is the main main girl, characters personalities are defined in a singular decisive moment when they cross her path acording on how interact with her. Out of 7 endings (endings are the climatic moment of every show), 4 are dedicated to her. Quinn is a villain couse she misstreat Maya, Josy story gets eat to supports Maya´s, Sage became a redemption figure as soon as she talk to Maya in ep7. Untill now, thats how it works.
So her story cannot be lame by necesity, otherwise the whole story is lame couse the story itself moves around Maya.
Anyhow i will keep reading you guys to solve this mistery.

Lol you make Maya seem more important than she has been since the first 2-3 episodes or so. Back when the MC was living with her and she was kind of the first girl he connected with I can see the argument for her being the main girl but that was a long time ago.

Quinn is an interesting antagonist for many reasons, her mistreatment of Maya is just one of the aspects but definitely not the only one. She is into lots of shady stuff and has her own story. Sage also never talked with Maya until this episode and had her own story. Same for Isabella and Jill. So I don't really see how the story revolves around Maya..if you go with the DIK path she is basically removed from the story and has very little relevance (in the CHIK path she is important but "just" one of the main girls, not more)

Well it is as it is. I was here, I can assure you the vast majority of the player were Dik affinity player, who were rejected, and then they feel it as a personal insult. I guarantee you, if the library instead of rejection would lead to back to Josy and Maya room, and lead to the hottest sex ever, we would not have this conversation.
and of course we had the massivest massive diks , who were all but hurt that how these to bitch they don't give a shit about dare to kiss behind their back..
You may think I'm joking but that's exactly how it went down. and it lasted for months, hell, even for a year. it dried out after the big purge and around episode 5

The story is still just half way. What I see from ep 7 is, if you "lets be friends" them at the library and after say to Derek that you have feelings for Josy, you can make the moves for a solo path with her. Have patience brother, I'm with you.

Yea I kinda got some of those vibes. Especially if you go back to the dorm with Josy and she basically tells you she still likes you but she didnt feel like she had a choice. I just want to make sure I dont lose a Josy route just because I didnt want anything to do with Maya lmao
