I know, Tserriednich'sNen and that's more or less my problem. sorco2003 , I am just confused why Doctor Cake would show us Karen Rebecca's hearing aid for four frames when we already know that she wears one due to feedback noises when Sally shouts at her and / or we have to click it in the HOTs freeroam for the quest pack. My wild guess interpretation is that she somehow now has a luxury version of it with diamonds (?) as she's now getting her uppers from Quinn instead of the pharmacy, but that wouldn't make much sense.
The end monologue is about people hiding their true selves or having the courage to reveal it. This 4 frame shot reveals that KRJ is hiding her hearing aid behind her hair. She still hides herself and is shy, even though she's Queen material.
That's also not a diamond. It's part of her hearing aid. Diamond stud earrings don't go in the middle of the ear.
These examples don't even remotely prove your assertion that Josy is selfish, manipulative or a gold-digger. She already comes from a wealthier family than the MC, so saying that she is a gold-digger has no merit. You can keep repeating it, but it won't make it true.
It's also very common for women not to make the first move when getting to know someone. It's, generally, the guy's responsibility to show some interest. That's likely why they never talked much. MC got brave because he was about to leave for college and things go far better than expected. I'm not seeing any malice from Josy here.
The behavior you are seeing here from Josy is very simple. A girl is trying to attract a boy. It's not sinister and there is no conspiracy afoot. She likes MC and she is using feminine allure. That's not a crime. Yes, she was in a relationship with Maya, but she also thought it was ending.
Josy is gregarious, but a little insecure with herself too. She's a regular girl trying to figure out a complicated love situation. She's not the anti-christ.

There is a more simple explanation.
The story needed a start point and that was a good one. The protagonist needed to go from zero to hero, so at the start is a shy guy who is in love with a girl he is afraid to talk to. That way every guy can relate to him (couse most of us went through that at some point) and you also can see his journey from the bottom to the top and feel the exitment of that process. It is a classic.
That's why at the start he is poor, orphan, doesn't have a place to stay, doesn't know anyone, etc. All of that had more to do with the MC rather than with Josy. But as for Josy she is presented as a teen love. That's why the relationship remains platonic until the porn story start. And that's because Josy above else, is an erotic fantasy. And no, sorry, but is not a manipulative bad girl erotic fantasy. It's a cute erotic fantasy. It's written all over her character.

Hey guys, I have an issue updating from v.0.6.1 to 0.7.1 (for macbook) I do all the steps for patching but when I run the game it's still v.0.6.1. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
There's an update from 0.6. to 0.7.2 available in the OP. You can try that. Yes, I know it says it's for Windows, but it can be used for Mac as well as the game files are identical.
When installing an update it is advisable to have a backup of the previous version, in case you do the update wrong.

actually I really like your viewpoint... and I think it's really close to how I feel about the whole Josy/Maya/MC/Dereck situation... but with Maya I think there is a fat chance that this isn't the only reason from some point forward... but Josy is still lost cause no matter how and when you approach her

I don't really understand this argument... it's a story.... sure you are entitled to have an opinion on if the story makes sense to you and/or why not... But you use your opinion on that as argument why Josy is selfish or whatever....

You can judge Josy for whatever reasons but working together 2 months and neither making a move resulting in Josy being whatever makes no sense.... afterall neither did MC.... your logic would make him a golddigger and whatever else too if you use arguments that way...

Unlike George though, the mc has already had sex and he's not a complete basket case, but it's almost the same thing: He likes this girl, he's too afraid to talk to her, he rehearses talking to her, he fucks up talking to her, but then eventually things progress.
In the end he gets the girl and his confidence and demeanor change for the better.
Like Josy, Loraine was also an experienced girl (sorry Marty, you know it's true), and the only really big difference was Josy already had a crush on the mc, where as Loraine only had eyes for Calvin.

That is true of course, but it's kinda to be expected in games/stories like this. It might have been solved by having complete separate paths in the game, but man ... this thing is HUGE! (and I don't mean any genitals). I was suprised how much work was put in this game contentwise (apart from renderings and animations). If we had separete storylines for all choices it could easily be two games. As it is, one story arc just ends if a relationship is ended and apart from a few dialog lines everything remains pretty much the same. That's a compromise I can live with, since the rest is so well written. I laughed my ass off at the role playing sessions and a few other occasions.
Yeah, honestly I wasn't expecting this much content in the game when I first downloaded it. I thought it to be similar to every other adult VN out there, so I wasn't really sure what I would be in for when I started the 10 GB download. Looking back, the only reason I didn't download adult VNs that much was because I was afraid my friends would find out and make fun of me for it, but now, I couldn't be bothered to give a shit. This is shows how much of a tool Tybalt is: wasn't even bothered to validate the contents of his presentation before the day itself, ends up making a fool of himself by showing a dick that's multiple times larger than his, on screen. Tyballs is just a whole ass tool man, and IMO just a jester in the game itself. I mean, who doesn't enjoy seeing his face getting punched, or his teeth and balls being knocked out by a tennis ball? Some of my favourite scenes in the game stem from Tyballs getting rekt.

You gotta choose to make the jocks leave when you run into them on the first floor instead of choosing to ignore them. You don't fight them directly but instead you just figure out ways to get them to leave the party one by one. In Heather's case, you'll be able to talk to her once you pick that option and find the drunk jock sprawled out on Heather's bed, then talk to her about it. Right after that, tell her about Tommy cheating, and you'll be able to treat her to some absinthe.

It's pretty interesting to see how MC grew from an unconfident male into a total stud in less than a week honestly. Unrealistic, sure, but it's fun asf. MC immediately became more confident once he went to college, as evidenced by his first conversation with Maya. Dude didn't really stutter at all and just talked normally (though it might be because he didn't have feelings for Maya at that point, so it might've been easier for him to talk to her as well). Imagine just sneaking into a sorority and getting a BJ from one of the members and potential members in that house after not fucking anyone for years though. That shit would be amazing lmao
