The game takes some time to load. You have to wait for 1-2 minutes or even more depending on your hardware. If you do something else while the game is loading, it won't start.
I am pretty sure that you are using the compressed version. The solution to your problem is here ↓↓↓

I've kind of avoided the problem by opening the same save in my first played game file(BeingADIK_ver0.5.0 with 0.6patch and 0.7patch).
Now I have a new issue that I cannot open Rooster during the freeroam.

Only guessing but I think some scenes with Jill you need to in chick affinity to get them
I've chosen not to be with josy and maya so i have more scenes with other girls, do you think in future updates there might be some casual hookup scenes with them??
How much content has been added since chapter 5? Also how much before the 'endgame' of the game? Like is there any saying on how many more episodes there will needed, more or less, the wrap up the story?

Maybe u something wrong, no one else faced this type of problem, check for this
9 Hours+ content if you play normally. DPC estimates around 14-20 Episodes.

No. Neither of them strike me as 'casual hookup' type of people, especially when they have each other.
I would say 2-3 Years. But not 4 or 5. 2 would be good. Its more like 2 1/2 years more.
2 years were needed to get nearly 8 episodes done. so 4 episodes for 1 year. So 8 episodes in years 2. that would be 16 Episodes then. If he continues to 20 then it would be 3 years of developing.
Well its hard to say. At the End Dr. Pinkcakes will decide his work Tempo haha.

Trivia. I thought this was very cool. In the first hangout I did with Maya and Josy (obviously on that path), I drew a heart on Josy's arm. I put the letters "JFM" on Maya's arm. (Josy, Fabio (my MC's name) and Maya).
It is easy to get invested in....ALL of the characters in this story. That is just really good story writing by the author. No different than your favorite TV show of the past.

You forget we are getting now no more than 3 episodes per year,maybe even only 2 in the future.After all each episodes is adding more and more renders and animations than the previous one with the exception of ep.5
So 4-5 years sounds realistic.

Replaying from Episode 5, it's pretty cool to see how DPC has most of key storylines mapped out across Season 2 (Episode 5-8)
Mansion rebuilding storyline started in Episode 5 when DIKs got HOTheaded, left their Mansion unguarded and trashed. We saw DIKs tried their best rebuilding it on Episode 6 & 7 and will be concluded in next episode when it will be fully repaired & most likely the season will end with DIKs mega party returning to the mansion, halloween themed.
Tybalt quest for date with Jill also started in Episode 5 when MC again, got hotheaded, and crashed Prep's party. Him & Derek faked a fire alarm, opening a chance for Tybalt to exploit Jill's kindness which we saw in Episode 6. In Episode 7, Jill asked for Bella help and later two out of three dates happened not like what Tybalt hoped thanks to Bella. I think the third date will happen on Episode 8 and it will conclude the whole Tybalt quest for Jill's watermelon and it will naturally evolve to her next storyline. My prediction is we will see the return of Jonathan, whoever he is.
In Episode 5, Neil texted MC about how his birthday is coming soon. Next episode, they celebrated together and we see MC got a package from Lynette, god rest her soul. We got first glimpse of the diary later about her acting on impulse, a trait we are familiar with. Next episode, the diary is now mixed with flashback from Neil's PoV. Like I said before, I think the diary reading will also be concluded next episode and I still believe there's a twist coming at the end of Lynette's diary and one of main storyline for season 3 will be stemmed from there.
Maybe the whole Mona-Quinn's restaurant saga will be concluded nest episode, it started on Ep. 5 when Mona refused to give Prof. Burke the good time. Ep. 6 Mona leaving. Ep. 7 Cammy, Ashley & Lily showed concern. idk, maybe she will return next episode and set up major angle for Season 3
DPC is not a perfect writer by any means, he has his flaws here and there but it's fascinating to see someone put this much thought and future planning ahead on a "porn visual novel"

FYI, BADIK was already in pre-production when DPC was making AL, to be exact, when AL was 0.7 or something.
It also depends on how many episodes he is planning to make. We don't have the exact no. yet, just an estimation b/w 14-20 eps.
The maximum time to complete this game should be 6-7 years, taking in account if his final episode is 20 and he releases 2 episodes every year.
Dammit I cannot progress with the story I'm totally stuck...
