We're pirating his game. I'm cool with that. He finds out someone is feeding his special renders to the pirate community and cuts them off. I'm cool with that too (sorry Sombo). People start complaining that he is a cunt for defending his IP. I'm not cool with that.

He has every right to defend his IP. We have no rights in this situation. It doesn't matter if his actions make no difference to the big picture. I'm not throwing anyone under any bus. I'm just stating what is objectively true.

Also, I have no loyalties to DPC or this site. This is just a site that I use to pirate DPC's shit. I'm just not big into pretending it's OK for me to pirate shit. I just pirate the shit anyway.

DPC is not an illustrator, he doesn't sell renders, he is a developer of a game.

DPC isn't defending his game (his IP), he's defending the idea that his renders are exclusive intellectual property (they're not exclusive in any way, they're not numbered, they're not encrypted), he's defending the illusion he sells (which I think he thinks he sells because patreons don't do it for that obviously) to patreons.

And evidently he has so many of them that cutting one of them from 40$ is not a problem, despite his earnings being so low (70 per hour would be low?).

previews are fun because they allow us to make some assumptions and talk about nothing, but i'm happy for the 40$ that SomboSteel saves

I can't possibly know all the difficulty and detail it takes to make such an incredible product.

I am happy to wait for the next episode to come out and hope that he endures the least stress possible finishing this story.

DPC isn't complaining, he just ended a contract with someone who breached it. Sombo knew the risks and unfortunately it happened. If anything, Sombo took the whole ordeal rather well given he's the one who's been shelling out cash to DPC all this time.

I find it hilarious how many people came to the rescue of DPC.
Leaking those "special" renders here will not make a dent on his fortune, don't worry.

No one's "rescuing" DPC, just calling out the sense of entitlement a lot of people on this forum have. We're pirates, why people want to act like we're doing the world a service by giving exposure to a bunch of porn games?

I also don't get this jealous sentiment over how much money he makes. He's at the top of this industry, that shouldn't be rewarded?

The player on the Dik route lost Josy and Maya in the end of sesone 1. The chick player lost a Queen. The score is 2-1 in favor of the Chicks. I think that in the season 2 finale we will lose another dik girl on the way of the chicks to even the score.
The idea of the game is that with the help of the system of choices you can do either good, cute things and be an exemplary boy and a romantic. Or you could do the bad actions and become alpha male. If we take as an axiom the statement that there will be four seasons, and the second has already passed so with each season the hero must decide which girl he wants to be together, then there is not much time left.
I am sure that Sage will leave the player from the way of chicks because of feelings and jealousy for Josy and Maya.
Anyway, the ending should be powerful and we should lose something in the way of both routes. Otherwise, the way of the chicks/neutrals will remain the most preferred always.

That is also the point of the matter. You have to play it more often to see everything. And with such hot girls you like to play all the routes

well I started supporting him a long time ago because Acting Lessons was a breath of fresh air and while I was playing the game for free here, I felt DPC was entitled to something from me in return for his hard work. And i continued support for BaDIK for the same reasons. I had recently gotten a pay increase at my job and I was lucky enough to be in a position to be able to afford the bigger paywalls. And after finding the games here to play originally and spending so much time here lurking the forums and reading everyone’s ideas about the story and characters, I didn’t mind that spending the extra money could also benefit the people here that I benefited from. It was kinda my way of giving back to this community I guess lol.

that being said I’m also pretty generous with my money when it comes to friends and family and I do donate a decent amount to charity every year as well. I can’t take it to my grave, so I try to use it to make people happy or make things better for as many as I can. As long as I have enough for me to be happy with in the end, I’m not too picky about what I do with the rest of it lol

Technically, you paid for it. In essence you could do what you want with it. Print out the renders and use it for toilet paper, fire starter, tissue paper, spread it around town, etc.....
