Unlike most here I for one am looking forward to seeing what role Zoey will have in the game moving forward. So long as DPC doesn't have MC go full retard that is (i.e, "OMG Zoey's back and I suddenly love her again and don't care about the current girl that I just chose to be with after having spent over 8 episodes building that relationship with said girl). I'm with those who believe that DPC is going to attempt to make Zoey as engaging and likeable to us players as best as he can mainly because I also believe for the remaining duration of the game that Zoey will have a significant and mostly positive relationship with MC regardless of weather they're together or not.

While I'm also not too keen on having to wait on a bit longer than usual for episode 9 due to this 'interlude' episode that DPC is releasing, it does however show that he's pretty serious about reintroducing Zoey back into the story in way that I would like to think will appeal to some or most players. Given what little we do know about her she seems to be an alright and good looking girl. I ask that you skeptics keep an open mind when it comes to Zoey because for all we know she might (and likely will) end up becoming some players favorite girl.

Not sure whether this has been answered or not, but some people wondered why they aren't getting any "Others" option when choosing a love interest in episode 8.

So I had a look in the code and it turns out that it doesn't actually depend on how much you sleep around or what kind of relationship you have with Quinn, Rinoa, Sarah, Lily, etc.
For some reason, whether or not you get that option depends solely on which combination of main paths you're on. This is the full list:

That does look rather arbitrary, but there's some pattern to the madness. You get:

No "Others" option if
- you're on the Maya & Josy path
- you're both on the Jill and the Bella path
- you're on the Jill path, unless: you have DIK affinity, or have NOT talked to Jill about her virginity in episode 7

Guaranteed "Others" option if
- Sage solo path
- Bella solo path
- Sage and Bella paths only
- Jill solo path, with DIK affinity
- Sage and Jill paths only, with DIK affinity

In other words:
- Pursuing Sage is a safe choice
- Pursuing Bella is mostly a safe choice unless you go for Jill as well
- Pursuing Jill is unsafe and probably not worth the effort of juggling it with DIK affinity
- Pursuing Maya and Josy ruins everything

Hope this helps some people who specifically want to go for "others".

I am most curious how DPC will be handling the endings with various girls. Having only 5 main LIs is making me wonder given how deeply some of the side girl relationships seem to be developing such as Lily, Quinn, Nicole, etc. depending on your choices.

To be fair, my memory on this is pretty fresh, since I'm redoing a new play-through to setup a condition I haven't tried before. Just played it like two nights ago, so I remembered it pretty clearly.

DPC confirmed in the comments to the post on Patreon that the interlude will be an important plot part of the story. So I guess it's not just about her and MC, but her possible connection to Vinnie or Tommy. I'm waiting for the first preview. Maybe I'm too optimistic, but I'm waiting for him next week. I don't think its main function is to interfere with the happiness of MС.

When Tremolo talked about his relationship with Zoey, he said that a certain older brother of Zoey's friend bought them alcohol. Tremolo himself had never seen Vinnie in person.If you add 2+2, then he could be Vinnie and Zoey goes to Vinnie, not to Tremolo.

Zoey wasn't the MC's true love, but he is clearly torn up about her. He refuses to discuss the relationship with Maya in Episode 1 despite his infamous 100% honesty pledge. He's instantly melancholy when Bella asks him about Zoey in Episode 3 and he flat out says it hurt a lot when she left, even if he wasn't certain if what he was feeling was friendship of love. And he none-too-subtly tells Jamie:

I think we have every reason to worry about the MC mooning over Zoey. The good news, I hope, is that if we can make it through Season 3 we'll probably get a chance to pick our LI for real, and Season 4 will finally be about the MC and his girl(s?!) dealing with all the longstanding problems and making their way to the ending. But Season 4 is a long ways away.

Maya, the other side of 100% honest, took 6 episodes to explain her problem with college tuition, and MC had to tell her about his ex right away? classic smart move from someone who just met a girl....

DPC's fame overpowers everything, there is no reason to think that Zoey's appearance will upset MC's love life, even more so in case he decided to go for an LI.
she will be a temptation, she can become another of the secondary girls in the background of the main story, even with a pretty important role like Jade or Riona (Quinn doesn't count). she will almost certainly have some connection with the events already in place at BR, her appearance will not be a fleeting one.

for now everything we know about her puts her as a positive character, tending to DIKish.

Seriously, if there is in this story a big revelation about Zoey too, soap opera style, like Zoey having a relationship with the antagonist of Tremolo, or one of his friends, or a previous lesbian relationship with one of his romantic interests, or being the secret daughter of Madame and Jill´s father, I´m going to cry.

Tremolo already knows Dawe, and apparently Tremolo also knew the older brother of Zoey's friend. Of all the heroes that MC has not personally seen, this is only Vinnie and I think DPC hide him for a reason.
By the way, if Zoey starts dating Maya, it will be a funny plot twist.

You don´t know if Tremolo knows the older brother of the friend of Zoey. You don´t even know if he knows the friend of Zoey. You only know for sure that he knows Zoey and the alcohol.

Seriously, I hope there won´t be a big revelation about Zoey, unlikely coincidence or secret from the past. The characters don´t live in a village lost in the Rocky Mountains, to be all of them family or related. The only plausible way I see that Zoey can integrate into Tremolo´s world again, since she can´t be a B&R student, is not by having some kind of a previous relationship with another character, but starting to dance in the Pink Rose. She has the look, I really can see her there.
