When were the missing rooster posts supposed to come in? I successfully installed 0.8.1 but I don’t see any new rooster posts. I do also use the scrappy mod so that might be interfering with it but idk.

It could be issue with the mod. As much as scrappy's mods have been good to me personally, for some reason, the mod for this game didn't like me much when I was using it, so I ceased with it. But it could be a mod issue for sure

There's been a distinct lack of freaky kink in the game. Just normal kink. No Shanlon from CoBD level shit.

This is also a problem with the DIK/CHICK divide. A DIK MC is just sorta a jerk sometimes or get's an option to glance up a girls skirt or maybe spank them once in the early episodes. Yeah some women are available on a DIK run that aren't on a CHICK run but the sex is still the same. No options for rough stuff, just some playful spanking. Sage mentioned wanting to get choked while you rail her in the ass, this better happen!

So I guess with me on the Jill route, but helped Sage with her cheating and whatnot and didn't screw Jade, I'm probably a 50/50 case that can go either way with the "fuck fuck fuck". Obviously Tybalt is going to have issues with me, but I think being on Sage's good side (and maybe Jade's...?) it could play out differently for me.

I mean, for the fire, my MC was helping M&J so he wasn't even IN the mansion when Derek lit the sprinklers, but that won't matter since I've pretty much had a decent feud with Tybalt, although I didn't punch him back after he hit me, and I've always done the CHIK thing when seeing him.

So who knows, but we have what? more than 9 months to worry about it...?

True, the look on her face after the Gender Studies final said it all, but she's the one looking for the extra-marital affair, not my MC. I mean yeah it's her word against mine and 99/100, she'll win, especially with who she is.

Thankfully, I didn't do anything with her or Sage, not that I would anyway, because they're not my type. It only would've made things that much more dire. It's bad enough that I'll have to deal with the fallout with Tybalt, but I don't want to even imagine what kind of hydrogen bomb I'd have to deal with if I messed with both Jade and Sage.

Hopefully, the consequences won't be too harsh. I know the MC is there for support and all, but him just being present could derail the whole fucking thing. Then it's what? Burke vs. Royce over the MC's fate?

Yeah this episode just felt off for me and one of the reasons was how he completely botched the Sage route.

Don't even get me started on how he botched DIK MC and Jill. Like I can't even destroy her and Tybalt wedding? That's the first fucking thing DIK MC would do

I can start older saves before version 8.1 just fine and it continues, so only the new content is somehow bugged. I use scrappy's mod as well as the detected cheat fixes.

The walkthrough discusses this a bit, and warns you about what will happen if you don’t pick at least 1 of the main LIs.

Previous discussions re this game indicate none of the other side girls (ex: Quinn, Riona, Envy, Lily, etc) are destined to be LIs.

So, if you pick “Someone Else” are you then cursed to wander aimlessly throughout the rest of the game, OR is dev going to promote some of the other girls to LI or introduce new characters?

No one other than DPC knows for sure, but given that he's consistently distinguished between main girls (LIs) and side girls, and the "Others" (Quinn, Riona, Envy, Lily, etc.) are all lumped together in the season 2 report (extra flavour with Quinn), it seems unlikely any of the side girls will get promoted to main girl.

I also doubt we'll be able to continue playing the field with the main girls by picking "Others". What would be the point of forcing a choice in 0.8 if seeing multiple LIs was going to be an option going forward?

The introduction of new LIs halfway through the game seems equally improbable, though not impossible with the return of Zoey for example.

This is reinforced by the observation that if you pick "Others", a variable named branchAlone is set to True. Unless that's pure misdirection, DPC knows people look at his code.

Which isn't to say there won't be some sort of ending with the "Others". I imagine this will be the had fun with lots of side girls, without getting into a serious relationship with any of them. The increasing intimacy with Quinn suggests a deeper relationship, so a distinct ending for her remains a plausible option for her admirers.

I don't know that I'd call banging Nicole, Lily, Riona etc. cursed though...

Holy crap. I just ran it using the 0.5.2 release (yeah, I have them all starting at 0.4.0), and sure as shit, it says "Over one year ago"

My archives only go back to 4.2, but you're right, the pre-Episode 6 versions specified a year. After 6.0 it was made more nebulous.

I got curious myself and just did it and it and it seems like Lightaces is on an old version. This is mine from 8.1.

edit: I note that the 8.1 official reads "Not long ago", but the ScrappyMod version says "Over one year ago" as well. Some definite continuity issues between our DPC and Scrappy man.

Well, as I mentioned my 8.1 version was modded. Perhaps the mod was originally created using the old dialog and that accidentally overrode the updated dialog in subsequent versions?

As ename144 says, it changed from "Over one year ago" to "Not long ago" in v0.6.0. The scrappy mod is still using the old phrase.

i think people are giving too much credit to Tybalt and jade and keep forgetting the dude with the wallet that pays for the entire party! Its Stephen that freaks out the MC even if he did good with jade and Tybalt! In the end of the day If you are on the Bella path Stephen probably saw the dik library action, and if you had the Jade sex tape is so going to be fucked up!

Have you tried disabling Gatekeeper, just to see if that's the root of the problem ?

If you didn't try pulling a fast one by changing the dialog on your screenshot (which I personally have NEVER been known to do ), then there's something weird going on in the game.

I did not. Curiouser and curiouser! That was from a Sage run with no Jade, no Jill, no Bella, and no Quinn's restaurant, going along with Maya/Josy, but not being very aggressive about pursuing them (I went to the party and made out with Sage, etc). What was you route for that?

Any Ren'Py guru want to figure out the branch conditions?

I'm willing to accept yours says this, but it has literally been "Not long ago" since the game's release. If it says "Over one year go" now, this would have to be an 8.1 bugfix retcon. I, too, had replayed the game from the start recently.

Makes me wonder, OFT. You on 8.0 like I am, or did you grab the 8.1 update? I haven't updated mine to the latest yet, but that's some curious revisionist history if so. Still, with the in-game photographic evidence we've been given, there's still no way MC has a mystery child with Zoey waiting in the wings.

I am on 8.1, but maybe it's a branch somewhere? Seems an odd thing to vary - it could very drastically change the story!

I'm guessing the reason DPC changed it to "Not long ago" is because having her leave more than a year before the MC is telling the story to Bella presents certain problems. Specifically, it would mean the MC was under the age of 18 in the treehouse scene.

But then changed it back for 8.1?

Also makes MC running to Bella about the gum/peanut butter incident even more weird. You'd think there would be an alternate if you're all but ignoring her.
