No that doesn't make sense either.
I'll go from how it is in the US because that's what I'm most familiar with, banking laws are similar enough in most countries that we can speak broadly here based on US law.
First of all the Loan. Given the facts that are laid out in game dialogue, although even this is a muddled given the way DPC wrote it. At the end of Ep6 Maya says that her Father co-signed her student loan and is now holding the money back to keep her from being with Josy. This is FALSE, in most student loans the money is sent directly from the bank to the College. Even in cases where the person who took the loan out receives the money, that money would go to Maya not her Father. So this is also FALSE.
Then to complicate things further in Ep7 DPC has Maya tell us that it was her Father who took out the loan and that she was the co-signer. This is FALSE. No loan officer is going to let a penniless teenager co-sign for a loan. Why am I so sure of this? Because the bank doesn't want to be shut down by the government and the loan officer doesn't want to go to jail, and that's exactly what would happen if a government regulator ever saw that loan application.
Next the Money. While applying for a loan the question will be asked what is the purpose of this loan? It could be for many things, to buy a house or car. To start a business. Or to pay for education. This is the Law, it's part of a series of laws to prevent money laundering, the bank will require proof that the money has been used for it's intended purpose.
And this is the point where everything falls apart. If Patrick does not let Maya use the money to pay for college then the bank is going to come and take it back.
This also addresses the idea that Patrick borrowed money from someone other than a bank. Lending is licensed in most of the world, in fact any money passing through international banks or lending institutions requires documentation similar to that I outlined above on the purpose of the money. This is also a part of laws to prevent money laundering.
So there is no way in any modern world scenario that Patrick could use money to force Maya to not date Josy.
Yes they are. We assume laws are like in any developed country. I'm sure we all think rape and burglary is illegal and punished in BaDIK, for example. There may be small differences, an american will see some things different from an european so sometimes context is needed. The laws in this fictional country are not known to us.
There is not two kinds of narratives for wich one has unicorns and the other is a copy of reality. There are hundreds of different tipes of narratives. Take the simpsons, sometimes goes fantastic, true, but most of time they don't. Yet the main premise of the show goes around the security supervisor of a nuclear plant that don't know his job. That thing is not realistic, yet it works anyway. With Badik the same happens.Yes they are. We assume laws are like in any developed country. In a realistic setting like BaDIK you need extra context when something extraordinary happens (like a flying unicorn), you have to explain it right to get suspension of disbelief, otherwise you'll think "no way".
The problem with the loan it's that is badly explained because using a loan to blackmail Maya is a little bit convoluted, most people don't know/don't understand how to do that/don't know if it's possible.
I can accept the loan as an effective blackmail device but that doesn't mean you have to dismiss lawyers and professional help, because BaDik is a realistic world. That may very well be a solution, we don't know what is going to happen.
Unfortunately...still no quinn content?![]()

no, the patch is for those who downloaded 0.8.0/1 versions. What is the point of the 0.8.2 patch on the first page? If i'm installing for the first time (no existing save), do I need to bother with that patch?
Nopethe new update of this game is out, here?
You quote a line from DPC with the exact same thing I said to counter my point? Or agree with me?Q&A Session - February 2021
Do you have an idea where in the world B&R is located and where characters lived before attending college?
The location is fictional, even though you can see license plates and signs from the east and west coast. As far as I can recall, I've only mentioned San Diego and New York in the game for Zoey (MCs old girlfriend) and Catrin (Swyper), but I have no intention of placing B&R on an actual map. Some gaps are best left to be filled by the player’s imagination.

Thanks Chief, made me laugh. I'll msg u if she has a sister.
More like fictional reality in a known setting. How is BaDIK in a fictional country? We know Zoey took a train to San Diego and one of the Swyper girls is from New York?
I'm beginning to think a vast majority of you people only look at the pictures. Which makes it even harder to explain how you end up Maya fans.
Yeah I didn't say there are two kinds of narratives or two hundred. I said its a realistic setting with real world rules so you can apply real world rules and morality and of course BaDik world will have similar laws. There is not two kinds of narratives for wich one has unicorns and the other is a copy of reality. There are hundreds of different tipes of narratives. Take the simpsons, sometimes goes fantastic, true, but most of time they don't. You want it explain at first?
Ok, here you go:

In real life Dawe will be bye bye by episode 1. This is not how the world works. And every resemblence of realism has been sacrifices from the start in exchange of... one joke.
She's the best. It's hard to picture a long-term relationship with any of the others. But Jill, we're already hanging out just to enjoy each other's company.Fuck dude, I think I just fell in love with a virtual char. Why can't be there girls like Jill, that's so fucked up. And the worst part is, I'm not even one of these discords stans. (besides being on f95zone the irony is real) Am I the only one, cause damn this shit is messing with me...
