I think that the old woman at the elderly home, that mentions that her son doesn't visit her anymore, is Stephen's mother. Basically Stephen got rich and decided to somewhat abandon his old life.We don't really know how rich, we know Burke is the one with the money, not Jade, but most of it might just aswell be in the hands of Burke's father or mother for all we know.... We know of Burke's donations from those papers, we just don't know if it's Burke's father donating as payment for his sons job at B&R or if Burke himself is manipulating the books.... It's all speculations.
Burke is involved in the restaurant and probably takes a large cut out of the profits, but I don't think he's involved in the drugs' business. That's way too risky and if caught, he's getting a 25-to-life. The drug thing I think is all Quinn and Riona and it's their side-business and that's why it's going so badly, because Quinn has no idea how to run a large scale operation.
