There are four issues with using mods:
  1. The mods add new lines of code to incorporate themselves into the logic. If you install a mod, play and save, when a new version of the game comes out and you install it without the mod, your old save game position can be misaligned and can cause some problems (including crashing). This is just inherent in the RenPy application.
  2. Modifying variables to enable scenes (like multimods etc.) can result in strange behaviour later in the game as the variable count increases and the modders lose track of what's going on. Even with only a few variables, like the new "branchSage", "BranchJill" etc., the logic later on looks at these variables in an if/else format, meaning whichever is checked first will be the logic that is processed. Just by setting all the branches to "True" doesn't mean the game will work properly. So the modder has to create heaps of logic to enable pretty much everything. At the beginning this was a piece of cake but it's become slowly more unwieldly.
  3. Also, DPC, the developer, is putting in cheat detection logic in each new releases of the game that looks at the mods used on previous releases. He causes the game to simply just exit if it's he's determined a mod was used. Subsequent mods remove this logic, but in the meanwhile heaps of players are getting booted from their game until a mod for each release if created.
  4. Finally, if you use mods, sixart will be mean to you. :eek:
So yeah, mods can cause some grief. But I don't think anyone has ever died due to a porn game mod... :unsure:

There was no one... it was a false assumption from Fuckface' side... however the backlash will be seen in the following episodes... ;)

i have a question for you guys: have you guys ever discussed about the lights flickering/somebody sneaking around the dik house at night?

it happened just after when mc got his new phone and going to sleep

Like when rambo was asked about the "blue light"... "what is it? Blue light" "what does it do" "turns blue"

And in this case... "what is it? Flickering light" "what does it do?" "It flickers"

Nothing more. and yeah this was discussed so many times, even more than the pregnancy test i would say ^^, and just like the pregnancy test... nobody knows anything about shit :D is there a stalker around the dik house? MAYBE (you cant see any shadow or anything, this light flickering, is just light flickering, otherwise you woudl see at least SOME human aura/shadow around it) , is there any REAL hint about a stalker? Nope. Just theories without any real fundament...

I can't be assed to pay attention to tags.

Yes, Derek and Maya are twins but they are not what the twins tag means and the mods or whomever sets the tags are well aware of that.

They are also aware that Zoey is no more a protagonist than Rox or James or whoever the fuck.

But eh, dipshits gonna dip.

I'm going to start a "asshole path", where i i'll do all the choices that most certainly are going to lead to bad consequences. Like fucking Jade and chosing Sage. Telling Derek about Jade...The only ones i won't hurt are Josy and Maya. I don't know how i did not think about this before.

If i don't tell Derek in Ep5 that i have feelings for Josy or don't follow her when her dad meets her at B&R i won't get those sad scenes. It's like we say around here: "O que os olhos não veem o coração não sente". I believe in english it would be: "Out of sight, out of mind".
