Why are MCs more often than not ugly? I know there is a lot of inbreeding going on in F95 AVNs, but damn it sure is rare to find an MC who doesn't have some form of the DURRRR face. Our loveable MC in BaDIK keeps being told he is attractive, but I don't see it. The recent haircut helped a little, but those demon brows and glassy eyeballs are still unsettling. Between Jill's goblin teeth and MC's uncanny peepers, I'm suddenly glad I pulled out of Jill at the last moment. Otherwise, their offspring would be Roger Ballen worthy.

I find Derek much more attractive than Tremolo. He doesn't have an idiotic hairstyle and a goblin smile. And that's why I always wonder why the main character isn't Derek!

You'd be surprised. Although, I don't really mention I play this game to friends. It's not my usual typical game I play. I was just bored one day and I happened to come accross it on Steam and I said "Why the fuck not".

I've seen some other females echo the same sentiment. Always interesting to see how the other side thinks. I would be interested to know which of the love interests is your favorite.

Well, we have just completed 8 episodes out of probably 16. You seem to be saying that for the next 8 episodes there will be no chance of the MC changing his mind, no cheating, no sex with anyone other than his loved one for 8 fucking episodes. And only in the Alone route will there be any options to be with any others. Sorry, but I don't believe that for one nanosecond.

Its interesting from the dev route. If we are to believe that only our LI will fuck us (unless we cheat), that means some times we will go whole episodes without sex (art imitates life, eh?), simply because it would be more work to make 5 different mandatory sex scenes for each LI. Thats a very different game from what we've had. From a financial point of view, somewhat risky. I'll play this game with minimal sex, its that good, imo. But some won't. Some are here ONLY to fuck. So does that impact the price point? Its why most games are based on a VERY distorted model of providing sex content to the very end.

5-6 Months per episode, so we expect the next one to be released around august or september.

Well, even in such a romantic game as leap of faith there were scenes of group sex. In fact, Pink already gives hints of what kind of sex life will be with the chosen LI. Sage has a list of sex things she didn't do during college and we can imagine what's on this red-haired nymphomaniac's list.
With Maya and Josie, there will probably be something like group sex. Even if they break up, I'm sure Josie will be ready to share MC with someone.
The most controversial thing concerns Jill and Bella. Jill took a long time to get ready for the first sex. I hope she won't go to her first blowjob for another season. It's really hard for me to imagine that she participates in a threesome, like and Bella.

Speaking as the hopeless romantic who just wants to live happily ever after with my two favorite girls, I think there are two slightly different phenomena at work here. First, if someone deliberately declines to chase multiple girls to avoid drama and maximize their commitment to a single LI (or the throuple), doesn't it stand to reason that they would resent getting a big helping of drama anyway? If you give people a choice, you shouldn't be surprised that people who picked an unpopular option will complain when you serve them the popular option instead. Sometimes you need to be willing to let go and trust the customer.

But second, even if a player is up for drama (and I like to think I am), timing and narrative flow can make all the difference. The game was clearly trying to establish the crossroads as an important milestone. I don't think it did the best job of that, but the effort was there. IMHO, that's the sort of event that needs time to resonate. Rushing straight into the next story beat both undercuts the importance of the crossroad AND muddles the significance of the new arc.

It would be as if Return of the Jedi cut from escaping Jabba's sail barge to Vader sensing Luke's presence during the Endor infiltration. There's nothing wrong with playing up the Luke/Vader plotline, but it works much better with the proper buildup. And skipping straight to the heavy character drama robs us of the sense of triumph our heroes earned by rescuing Han. Instead of combining peanut butter and chocolate, we get a sugary mix of uncooked ingredients. Blech.

So it's not that I hate Zoey, I just think DPC is setting her up to fail. And that makes me sad.

Your choice to define Fuckface ( to some extent ) but as it is it comes with consequences ( and if you ask me DPC was not really strict at punishing these harem maniacs... you think [ realistically ] you could fuck around with everyone on a campus [ of all places ] and nobody gets wind of it ? And it does not make a better story if you fuck around it just comes with more lewd content !

Thats a very good point, trusting the customer and shifting the content but not always. If theres a cohereant story outline already and DPC is sticking to it like the writer he is I think the error is in being able to singly pursue someone, it breaks the story kinda and thats why Zoey is needed now halfway in, to make it a story, to force people into a love triangle. The problem is that its taken too long since development start to reach this point, many fans have become too focused on the one LI and cant look beyond it.

To me going into a single LI in a narrative work like this so alien so the crossroad as an event wasn't of huge importance at all, instead a focusing and catalyst for drama not against it to do sappy stuff. Its like making a love story (a bit of hyperbole: like Gatsby or Wuthering Heights) and removing one of the suitors and obstacles until its only the one couple instead of a love triangle. It would end up having zero tension. Instead is a damn Marty Stu/Mary Sue story, an infallible main character that does no wrong, is great at everything(massive fighter, plays the guitar, huge dick, charismatic leader, snares all the ladies because everyone wants a piece) that always succeed. Supremely boring and most of all an extremely bad read. Like 99.9% of fan fiction. (IMO BaDik is in the porn category of story first with lots of smut instead of Porn first and story is whatever batshit insane "landlord" and "housemate" bullshit you always ignore since is copy pasted from elsewhere and fast forwarded through.)

MC have to be a shitty partner and break people to make the story sound (or the LI have to do it). I think the timing is great, its midway into the story which is good place to start raising the stakes, getting a label and enter into a bit of commitment (on the surface but not actually doing it maybe?) or you add new character from the outside that emotionally* means more to the story than any of the current LIs, its all done so it can come crashing down later in the final act. It have to come down in the final act how else is it a story worth reading!? Imo DPC feels like a writer first, porn delivery guy secondly. How the hell do you churn a happy, content and successful monogamous dating into an interesting story for 8 more episodes where the setting is collage, partying and sex? And multiply by 5 to match each different LI. Each requiring happy soppy stuff to cater to each girls fans? It just doesn't make sense from any angle imo to do that or make an outline like that. MC have to do dumb shit and fuck it all up (or the LIs). Simply HAVE to fuck it up.

*I dont think much of "your" or "my" choices because they shouldn't and cannot overshadow story, and thats why often when I read anger directed at Zoey or the Interlude, I think many fans are ignoring what have been written and shown to us (MC likely doing at least two LI and a side or two perhaps) people have instead made their own fanfiction in their head instead where there is only the one LI and with no sides and carefully follows walkthroughs to enable that at maximise favorability. Why else would the anger be so extreme (at times) for Zoey? Because she is presented with huge emotional pull on the MC that works in an out of story if you look at it in whole, its coherent and match up with MCs character in the first couple episodes, its in fact greater than all the LIs at the moment. And each vocal fans fanfictionlike headcannon cannot easily accommodate that, all they see is danger and the stress response is anger imo. Great content, it just cannot compete with fanfiction headcannon where every word against headcannon is treated as shit.

All in all, If its all only wholesome stuff happening... its boring. Might as well stop reading and just skip through all text until you get the lewd scenes at that point (which manwhore mode kinda facilitates if thats your thing while also enabling huge drama if you like everything burning , which is what it seems to be leaning towards for that particular path which I enjoy as well, the aftermath is whats interesting). I think im rambling. Been going over this reply too much.
