There are many Japanese studios whose specialty is to produce Adult Visual Novels. Among the Western studios that are on Patreon, I can mention Kompas Production, Oppai Games, Love-Joint, Flexible Media and many others. I don't count the creators who are in couple like MagicNuts.

There is no fatalism that forces someone to work alone on this type of project and only the budget is a strict limitation; so in many cases, the choice is deliberate and raises legitimate concern in the ability for the creator to complete the game on his own.

I'm a bit disappointed with season 3 - previously we ended on point X and we started the third season entirely elsewhere and also as a former MC chick

Patience, grasshopper! It was just an Interlude. Season 3 proper will return back at 'point X' in Episode 9 with all the characters you know and love, but with the addition of the 'former MC chick'. We have barely scratched the surface of Season 3.

maybe so, but especially for the 3rd season I played from the beginning and maybe that's why I was so disappointed. Does anyone know if they plan to turn off / on free roam?
