So many games here are about some creep trying to coerce women through subterfuge, "Oh my pee pee hurts like this, you have to help me", or people "accidentally" walking into each other in the bathroom and then it evolves into dick sucking.

In BaDIK the mc is open about who he likes and what he'd like to do. It's refreshingly normal in a genre overpopulated with fucked up perverts.

Sure the mc can often look up girls dresses (and I find that more childish than DIKish), and Jill has a couple accidental tits out scenes and there's that accidental groping in the shower, but it's far from a theme running through the game (and given Jill's naivety in sexual situations, some minor contrivance was required to keep the player interested).

But while the formula is simple, i.e. let a girl know you're interested and see where it leads, each of the girls' progression is still significantly different, and in that sense, somewhat realistic (Bella is attracted to the mc but isn't sure if it's a smart relationship, Jill likes the mc but is afraid her lack of experience will be embarrassing, Josy & Maya are keen on him but don't know how it will affect their existing relationship, Sage just wants to fuck, and so on).

So yeah, instead of raping girls in their sleep, setting up spy cameras in the girls' bathrooms, finding potions to make girls like him, the mc simple tells them he's interested in them. It's so radical! :giggle:

Yes. I like how Pink creates context for sex scenes and how porn scenes have cause and effect. Of course, Being A DIK is primarily a porn game, and there is a lot of spontaneous and casual sex in it, but I don't have moments when I want to break my head about the monitor when I see them. The fact that we are arguing here around the usual porn scene already says a lot. But I would note this.

In my opinion, the main advantage of the game is that Pink set the fashion for story games. Incest games in which the main intrigue is how the hero climbs into the panties of his sister is becoming less and less. Story games with good characters become famous and popular faster than games with a stupid pattern about a little boy in a big house.

Yeah human perception can vary and lead to red herring, this might be obvious but I thought Nicole is Steve's Mother,I mean there is major choice for him,his father divorce her, and what Karma does it do to MC when later this is revealed. But I don't know,it might be red herring as well.. :KEK:

Unless Nicole lied about her age, that's simply not possible. She's 30. That means to be Steve's mother she'd have had to give birth when she was 12. Also I'd swear at some point she said her kid was only 5-7 years old or something, but without replaying all her scenes I can't be certain of that.

Doesn't rule out the possibility of her kid being his half-sibling, though. Who knows where Neil was sticking it? Maybe the extra child support is why he grew up so poor that didn't even have a TV at home. He did warn MC to use condoms.

You cracked the code, I didn't get to the end of Ep. 8 yet. I am (was) letting the forced choice of LI sit with me a bit, I don't know yet if I will still play the game. Yeah, I know I'm a fool for being invested on the story of a game made to slap my meat.

edit: added note, there were hints dropped earlier in the game. Particularly about someone's opinion on the guitar as an instrument, and when you corner Sage on Tybalt's bed at the Preps party, MC says something along the lines of "Hey, this is Tybalt's room", and Sage asks how you would know that (meaning that she also knows, and may have been there before herself).

Oh I get it now, as I said, I havent reached the end of Episode 8 yet, my bad hahahaha But good point about she knowing Tybalt's room, I dismissed her remark as just playful banter, but makes sense. Well, good thing I never went ahead with Jade, despite her (very incisive) advances.

why are you talking about Cathy? :unsure: how do you relate her to Sage? surelyment will somehow come back into the picture, but I can't tell by connecting to what story

in the immediate term the big crossroads will be whether Mc had sex and then dumped Jade in favor of Sage, we'll see
