The MC once said something to Maya. Everyone deserves a second chance. Josy and Maya got their second chance.

With Quinn, we're not even at the second chance stage yet. Yes, she did indeed "rape" the MC on the sperm petition. But let's face it. Quinn is already a horny girl, an MC should be able to get over something like that. After all, it wasn't Linda. But Quinn is doing illegal activities that could be punished by someone else, and I see that coming for Quinn. Whether it's Vinny wanting revenge because Quinn interfered with his business with the Pink Rose Girls, or there actually being police surveillance. Sage should also not be forgotten when she finds out what Quinn is doing behind her back.

Tommy got a second chance from the MC when he apologized to the MC in EP6. Until the end of EP8, Tommy was actually behaving correctly towards the MC. At least what we saw. But for Tommy, there could be a bad ending. In EP8, Tommy told Nick that he has his drug use under control. What if he doesn't have that? After all, he meets up with Vinny at the end of EP8.

We also have to remember that Tommy wanted to take on the role of scapegoat for Quinn for some reason. But that should have been taken care of by their argument, which actually means that Tommy wouldn't protect Quinn from anything anymore.

The friendship or acquaintance between Quinn and Tommy has also changed. In the beginning, there were Quinn/Vinny and Quinn/Tommy and Tommy/Lily connections. In EP8, that changed. Quinn/Lily and Tommy/Vinny. This new constellation shows that there will be a fight between Quinn/Lily and Tommy/Vinny. The question I have now is which side is the MC on? HOTs or DIKs.

To be honest, I don't hope anyone gets killed, but you can't completely rule it out.

Certainly the pandemic partially cleared AVNs, but it's not like the video game market was waiting with folded arms for its new star. it's a very competitive industry, assuming DPC "made it" to make the leap, on the other hand it would be one of many, sure it would enter a more stable environment (all it takes is for patreon to change a few rules and it blows up), but I doubt it would achieve, at least in the short term, the same gains it has now

It is all up to DPC's talent to see if his work is accepted into mainstream or not. My assertion is simply that DPC wants to give it a try after BaDIK. I am not advocating the theory that he will be as wildly successful in the endeavour as he is in porn games. Lucky for him, he is set for life (unless his wife is spending the money as fast as it is arriving). He can afford to take a shot at mainstream without losing that much and without having to get a day job. Like I previously stated, Patreon/steam income won't disappear if he moves in a new direction. People will be playing AL & BaDIK 15 years from now, after the game is done. Every year, a new batch of horny 13 year olds comes of age and discovers F95. I still play and enjoy games from when I was a kid, like KOTORs, which have outdated graphics, so barring another house fire, I don't think BaDIK will be obsolete for a long time.

My personal preference is that DPC retains some lewds in his work. I would happy if he continues in AVNs, but I certainly would not mind if he does a Mass Effect style game. Again, not the same story or even genre, but a story-focused rpg accented with R rating type lewds would be quite fun to play. I actually think there is a market for a good game with softcore elements. The trend in Hollywood and increasingly in games is for less not more female nudity. Pink is now at the peak of his popularity, he hit the jackpot thanks to the pandemic, but no one knows what will happen next. Interest in the game needs to be maintained regularly, the number of patrons is practically not growing, and perhaps in the future there will be fewer of them. It certainly won't be critical for him, but it will affect his future potential project. Even in today's update, he indirectly agrees that he needs to engage in marketing from time to time, maintain interest, because he already has many competitors who give the product regularly, albeit worse.

It's really too early for us to talk about it, I just want this fucking year to end and end well, I've been worrying too much this year.

Even if patreon completely dries up (which I don't think it will), he still has steam. AL and BaDIK are highly rated there and will continue to provide income for years if not decades. DPC has the creativity needed, the work ethic required, and the computer hardware necessary to create any game/genre he wants in the future; full lewd, non-lewd, or combo.

P.S. There are devs on here who essentially only create renders and don't do shit with their games. If DPC is hard up for cash during development of non-AVN, he could post a few renders and his legions of fans will be happy. My point is, money is never going to be an issue for DPC. He could lose half his patreons and still be set for life. The other half will stick with him no matter what project he works on...or doesn't (Icstor taught me this). You don't have to shut down your patreon just because you transition from hardcore to softcore.

I swear I've seen DPC talk about why he chooses to create within the adult genre, and how he would like to see the reduction or elimination of stigmas surrounding more graphic lewdness as it is perceived in mainstream media. But I can't find it in either the Patreon Q&As or his posts in F95. Maybe someone among the group remembers it as well?

I remember seeing that, too. I agree with him. Thankfully, at least in most countries, game platforms like Steam and GOG are willing to make games like that available. I've seen YouTubers play BaDIK, even. While DPC isn't exactly mainstream, he's clearly among the best known makers of this kind of game.
