Personally, I stopped stressing about it, and it's so much better. I still like the game, I'm still excited about it, even if I'm more critical lately, in the end it's still among the few porn game that worthy to mention, and overall still one of the best, but my life not depend on it. I having fun, with the community during the breaks, and my life not revolve around this either, If I die before it's end, then so be it. . it was a fun ride.

It's not the first time DPC has released a status update mentioning that he's been working on the "Others" route.

52% of the writing is done, but he is still busy with the “Others” route. I wonder how difficult it will be to write that route as more episodes are released over time.

I can foresee some fans' revolt when the game comes to an end and their favorite side-girls haven't received enough attention. Ironically, those fans will be right to be upset.

Let's face it... DPC dared to create the "Others" route, not to tell a story... but to extend as much time as possible that the game needs to develop.

I am pretty sure Dpc already gave us the hints with the range of side girls who will be getting more attention: Lily, Nicole, Riona, Quinn and Nora.

Unpopular opinion, but... I always believed that creating an “Other” route was a mistake, episode 10 will be the first plot-focused episode after “Crossroads” and DPC is already struggling to handle that route.

People need to understand that not all game girls can be given special attention. There's a reason why there's a divide between main girls and side girls. The plot was supposed to be focused on the main girls and that's it.

DPC will soon realize that he is biting off more than he can chew. So get ready... some characters will pay the price for this. There is no possibility that the girls from the “Others” route have their plots well worked when the author wants to tell the whole story in 16 episodes.

I think that most of the 'Others' route girls are going to be closed off, most of them aren't even set up as proper romantic partners for MC, so it's probable that there's going to be a narrowing down of what the 'Others' route entails towards the end of this season. With one or two being given proper routes of their own. (My guess is on Quinn and Lily)

A lot of the route is just about MC getting his dick wet, while other characters like Nicole and Riona are going to lead to inevitable dead ends.

And before anyone says that I'm just picking on Riona, the bitch has literally banged almost all the guys MC knows, if you don't think that's going cause some kind of drama/shit storm then you are delusional.

I'm not sure about that one. I always assumed that the actual Relationship is a bit of secondary plot, regardless of main girl or not.

You are a man of culture. Being a DIK should have followed the same path as “Eternum” and focused only on the main girls and treated the side-girls as a way to get sex as soon as possible or as a way to get as many sex scenes as possible.

DPC wants to create a storyline for each side-girl, who does he think he is? Jane Austen? My heart goes out to those who have one of the side-girls as their favorite. I have a bad feeling about this...

If any new developer happens to browse this thread it must be disheartening to read all the doom comments of arguably the highest quality game in the industry. Hope some people can find a way to take a step back and realize what journey they have already had and that it might as well have been over or abandoned or ruined with some horrible decisions. Slow development of such a huge project is least of our concerns. But hey maybe I am just a clueless guy who doesn't know the developer as well as you do. I'm just waiting more Nicole content and if she is deemed side character not worth of much content I certainly won't curse the game just because my wishes were not met. Peace!

then why should it be a more complicated run than the others to write? it's the one with the least ties, where if you've already had sex with someone you might get a new chance otherwise you move on.

Think about it... The “Others” route has more side-girls than the game has main girls. As episodes are released, doesn't it become more difficult to get all the girls on the “Others” route to keep walking in the same direction without affecting the plot?

For example, how does DPC intend to tie each of the side-girls' routes to the main storyline? It doesn't matter if the MC has a date with Nicole or if he sells drugs with Quinn, at the end of the day the MC should be in the same place on all routes. It's possible? Of course it is, but the work to do something well is insane.

With DPC who knows, but saying that Quinn is more likely to end up as a dead end is wishful thinking on your part, just from a story perspective, she's been built up as a central cog without which several parts of the story can't move forward, and without which most of the drama surrounding the HOTs and Maya's obsession with free tuition would have been mostly pointless.

If DPC eliminates Quinn at some point, it's not going to be soon, and would most likely occur at least in the next season, but I doubt that DPC would do so, since he actually seems to be quite fond of Quinn considering how much attention character development he's given her.

I like to joke about Quinn's death because I like violence in games, but even I don't believe that Quinn will die. Between killing Quinn and adding NTR to the game, I think it's easier for the DPC to add NTR to the game.

Why would it be more difficult? Others route has multiple scenes with different people, and I would say that it is actually the easiest to progress / close off as compared to the main girl routes. Your mistake is thinking that the MC will end up having a serious relationship with a side girl like Quinn / Riona / Lily, but most likely the MC will end the game as a single person in this route. This route is about the MC being a full frat dude dickhead, not a mature guy settling for a relationship. You can argue the same for most other girls - for example, why date Sage when she will graduate in less than 6 months?

My honest feelings is that you will get to end the game with alot of side characters considering acting lesson had somewhat 13 endings or more as far as I remember. I am not sure that you will end up with no one cause you decided to become a massive Dik. (You will most likely end up alone if you Dpc add secret STD system)
