I'm also counting on choosing to tell JohnBoy that Zoey is an ex-girlfriend to be harmless. This snowflake MC spent the whole game referring to Zoey as an ex-girlfriend that it doesn't even make sense that the DPC put the option to say that she was a childhood friend.

I'm starting to think it doesn't matter, it's just going to be another thing to embarrass the MC in the future, he says she's his ex-girlfriend, but she will say they were just friends, or will he say she's his childhood friend, but everyone he talked to about her will mention that he previously said she was his ex-girlfriend.
There's no right answer.
I don't know if Zoey's reaction in this scene is:
1- What the fuck are you talking about?! I was never your girlfriend, you weirdo!
or;

What you said doesn't even make sense, since Maya starts the game living a romance with someone else (Josy). Bearing that in mind, Quinn should take priority over Maya since Quinn never had any romance.

Maya and Josy's reconciliation scene in Ep.4 is very beautiful. Them admitting they never stopped loving each other was a very touching moment. Bit of a shitty moment since the MC had to hear it from the girl he was in love with for 2 months, but it was really touching.

My heart sank when making my choice in Crossroads (Ep.8), the girls not chosen can move on with their lives, but it's not the same. For example, if Jill is not chosen by the MC in the future, she will find someone else (I don't mean in the game, but in her life), but it won't be the same "destiny" thing between her and the MC. The same goes for Bella, if she move on without the MC it won't be the same as she won't feel the same emotions she felt with the MC - like feeling younger and nostalgic like a teenager. The same goes for the other girls, they can move on without the MC, but they might not have the best outcome.

This is more plausible scenario imo, since they leaved apart without realizing who they were to each other, because they never talked about it. And when MC said to her that she never talked with his new friends about their exes (meaning her too), she was surprised.

Heck in my playthrough my mc was only ever with Maya & Josy
Most of the other girls don't appeal to me.

Jill, Bella, Maya, and Josy
None of them would have their BEST outcome with MC in a relationship with all the others, so a harem wouldn't work for that either.
Though I am usually down for a harem just saying given your criteria
I understand you better than you might think, I also only play one route.
My favorite character so far is Bella. If her secret isn't too dark, I don't think I'll change my mind.
