there is not a single “functional” family in BADIK, this serves to make the characters more interesting without a lot of effort. plus it always adds to the doubt of seeing the parents of a character we have already met pop up somewhere (will we see Josy's biological mother and stepmother sooner or later? Sage's biological mother? Quinn's mother? etc.).

I'm sure the mysterious Anderson is someone we know. If the "Priscilla=Quinn" theory is true, that's another one. Since he also didn't know Rusty's real name, I think it's safe to say he doesn't know any of his brother's last names either, besides Derek.
