I would say that is part of the appeal. It's innate in most men, I think, I call it the White Knight syndrome. We have a biological drive to "save" the damsel in distress. We see a character like Quinn, and imagine we can save her from herself, from the trouble she's got herself into.Genuine, without insulting anyone, why in a visual novel, would you find attractive a broken person like Quinn?
Is it overall a gag? Like ha ha i can fix her?
It was also a large part of the original appeal of Harley Quinn (ironically). She was more naive, so the urge to save her was even stronger, but it's the same psychological urge.
