In a bunch of AVNs I played in the beginning, there were a lot of the typical bullshit "fuck every girl in a 10 mile radius" stories that inexplicably had some dumb crime element grafted on. They never really felt organic, especially when the rest of the game was just lighthearted fare. Now with something like Acting Lessons or Being a DIK, it's fairly integrated well enough I guess, but it isn't interesting in the slightest, but at least with AL it was used for a dark turn in the story. Maybe Episode 11 will change my mind, but for now all I care about is getting Rio back safe and sound, and that's it.

Wrong. Without the drugs plot, Riona, Lily & Vinny have no role in the story. The canon events of Ep5 ( the HOTs being present at the prep party to gain more money and the trashing of the DIKs mansion because the DIKs were looking for the HOTs) don't happen. The plot of rebuilding the DIK mansion doesn't happen. The cliffhanger of the last episode doesn't happen. A lot of the "canon events" are direct or indirect consequences of the drug storyline.

I didn't say it had no impact or was totally disconnected, but the drug stuff is undeniably a side thing. Growing more prominent, yes, but it isn't like Vinny will suddenly get in the way of solving Maya's loan problem. I doubt it'll happen, but there's a possibility he's the mastermind behind the cameras/Cathy Cluck/flyers, and turns everyone against MC like in Bully. It wouldn't exactly stem from the drugs story though, especially since MC is uninvolved when not on the Quinn path.

Turns out the real culprit in trashing the mansion, the Cathy Cluck, forcing Cafeteria Girl in putting the pics was MC all along. YOU are the real villain of this story!!!

Holy shit, i never actually thought about it.
It makes sense to me because Vinny was Nick friend and he would not trash his friend room.
He used to be a DIK and probably still remembers a code.
He doesnt mind walking in to their mansion at all lol
To me thats 100% Vinny now

I feel that Vinny is going to grow as an antagonist. He is like Tommy, but on crack (not that Tommy usually is not on crack).
Not only he is an asshole like Tommy, but he is a freaking dangerous one that will not only shit in your bad and fuck your mother, but also kill you.
I mean, for the plot to go foward we need an outlet for drama. An instigator. Quinn was a good one in the begginning. But now she is either whatever or really mellow towards MC. The thing is that diferent routes will have different stuff moving the plot foward... Sage has Jade, MaJo have their failling relatioship and, hopefully, the conclusion of the Maya's shit, Bella has herself, this may even be linked to the overall plot since no one knows basically anything about her and Jill...? I don't know, the maybe connection with with Lynette's family which can lead MC to meet some of his relatives? Tybalt is as good as an instigator as Dawe is.
But for the overall plot? There's the culprit that is trying to take the DIKs out, which is the main one here most probably. Then we have subplot like Stephen, the Drugs, maybe someone dying which I can feel coming for whatever reason, MC's blackout moments that can lead to something relevant. And then I don't know, I doubt the culprit is going to be the climax of the thing.
If DPC wants to kill someone, it won't be someone BIG in the plot like one of LIs or Derek (if DPC touchs mah man, I will find him). But he doesn't even needs to kill someone... I feel that if he makes that Neil has some sort of disease and/or ailment, this would be the perfect thing to move into the climax... something like cancer, alzheimer and so on. This would be my bet to move the story foward towards it's end actually, Neil IS the most important character in the game, since the game is about MC's life and without him, MC would've have crumbled already. (I don't consider the protagonist here, of course)

Weird things have been written by DPC. I swear if DPC does make Neil have an illness like Alzheimer and our punishment for going after side girls as a DIK is going to be not being nice to him while the alternative is not being able to rescue Rio, because yall are freaking me out here with this talk ab. DPC, I don't know what I'll be capable of doing. Possibly murder, or worse.
From another Q&A i saw, i think he said there wont be any deaths like Acting Lessons, but i think he still may do some deep depressing shit at one point

I will take offence on that thank you very much. Being there for someone that is sick or bedridden is universal to anyone, not just Jill or a girl. That's literally what Sage's hangout was about by the way.
And I would hope Jill is finally moving foward instead of being stuck in place like her purity gatekeepers, fake fans from DPC's patreon want. She's been stuck there since episode 3 and barely have move foward in episode 8/9, she only just now did something in episode 10.
