I just thought of something.

I'm planning a trip out of the country, tentatively set for March atm. It would be just my luck for DPC to release Episode 11 when I'm thousands of miles away from my computer :HideThePain:

It makes me want to laugh just thinking about it, because it would legitimately be fucking funny :KEK: but I'd cry on the inside
Go to Sweden and hunt dpc down and tell him to delay the release until your back

Well, you just left-click, doesn't that skip it? Sure, ctrl doesn't, but I mean... or am I dumb?
Normally yes.

But it has been posted here some Ren'Py code extracted from previous episodes in which DPC is disabling skipping if a cutscene hasn't been watched fully at least one time, so...

(I think one of them was the camera panning around a Christmas decorated home, or something like that)

dunno about the animations, but you are right on the cinematics. You need to watch them at least once. Not sure if there is a workaround, but I don't mind that, I'll watch them once.

Interesting. What's the difference between animations and cinematics?

I guess animations are either .mp4 or .webm, but what are cinematics? Never heard about those (not that I am an expert, but I'm always willing to learn).

by animations I mean the sex scenes and so on. Cinematics, think of the Halloween intro with the spin around the house. Format doesn't really matter, rather than the coding behind it.

Animations (like in lewds) loop, while cinematics are like mini-movies. That's the way I understand it anyway.

Ok, then in writing "animations" I was referring to what you are calling "cinematics".

I think it's a matter of context.

Maybe in the context of Ren'Py engine an "animation" is a moving scene animated by the engine itself, while a "cinematic" is something the Ren'Py engine just plays like a mini-movie (thus with no user interaction possible), but those "cinematics" are what DPC is referring to as "animations" when he is taking about rendering them in an external software.
