tried doing this after your suggestion, but still get the same errors. I've already played through 8.2 and really enjoyed the game, which is why I'm trying to download season 3 but keep getting blocked by these errors.

Have you install the patch 10.1 it could solve your problem.

that's the funny part, except for compressed version 0.8.2 all the other zip archives get an error (data error in 7zip and "file is corrupt" in WinRAR) for a few files when I try to extract the, same with the split download versions. An example would be the data error(or "file is corrupt" when using winrar) for ep10_images.rpa from the 10.1 patch when I try to extract. don't know what the problem is since extracting the files seems to work without issues for everyone else. though thanks for the reply, and sorry for once again writing a whole paragraph, just want to ensure that I'm not keeping any info that could help away.

I did have the same issue previously, in my experience this happens when there was an interruption during the download that cause a corruption in the game file. There is also an instance when finished downloading the game but did not extracted the file immediately sometimes the pc had some viruses that corrupt the file.

Here out of ordinary suggestion which work out for me way back. Try downloading the game in a different device such as an android phone or different pc. It will be much better if you can download the whole file and not the split version then extract the game in the phone or other pc if the game is extracted without a problem then the issue is on the pc that corrupts the game. If the issue remains the same. Try downloading on different site.

This is just my own reccomendation

Or maaybe there could be an issue in the %appdata% folder? Can that even cause something like this?

switched to another laptop i had lying around and managed to download and extract the patch zip with no apparent issues. am dowloading the main game zip now hopefully it all goes well

that's also a possibility I guess, don't know why there would be an issue there but then agaiin the laptop i use for games is pretty old and not that good so it could be that some part of it just doesn't like these files or has issues when working the %appdata% folder

I'm afraid to (re)play it and to one day finish the game and have to go through another Acting Lessons ending again. Help.

On a more serious note, haven't played for a couple versions, how close are we to the end if anyone knows?

Far from over, current episode release is 10ep.

16 episode so in total 4 seasons. With more than a year in episode release it could take him 6 to 8 yrs to complete which is my rough estimation

also thanks for the help, though not everything got resolved it's still progress
