You don't have to be evil or a sociopath to be a bad person though, stupidity and ignorance isn't some blanket excuse. Obviously this is just a game, and a porn game at that, so I'm not going to hold MC to the standards of a real person, or even a Hollywood movie protagonist, but stealing from Jill perfectly encapsulates this. There was no good reason to do it, and only being a few dollars doesn't justify it or lessen the impact.

I sent the dick pick to tybalt, smoked pot at the roof top with Quinn, but then i started to decrease the affinity until i reached neutral when climbing her window, then was able to get into a relationship with Jill later, then i made MC eat some mushrooms on the barbecue... the affinity is neutral but MC status is still a DIK (this enables player to take DIK choices such as make out with Riona on the Halloween party, take drugs and beat Maya's father for example). She got concerned because of the drugs when she noticed MC high and asked him to not do it again.
Helped her on the recital too.

Idk, chick dude wouldn't use restaurant, and DIK chad doesn't need to pay for sex.

The Jill money one was interesting and unexpected. She's rich and you wouldn't expect her to notice it missing. Meanwhile Maya is constantly watching her pennies, and you (can) steal so much more from her, and she never says a word.

at the end of the episode there are these cards with the main girl... if you steal from Jill, in cards say, you stole from her. if you "steal" from Maya, cards dont say anything. that is not stealing. only found money. dont ask why.

I can add that it doesn't matter that she is rich

rich guys can be more sensitive for money than normal guys
i dont know Jill is in this category or not. i didnt see the whole dialogs about the money with her, because in ep2 stealing her money felt bad, i saved, at the end of episode reading Jill's cards i saw there was mentioned the stealing, so i loaded back and never steal from her.

Stealing from Jill is such an odd thing. Because in the rest of the game, you can steal money from literally everywhere—including Maya's dorm, and her room back home, which is obviously fucked up considering the story. But those are all gameplay mechanics, as opposed to Jill's money, where you actually have to choose the steal option. That alone should've made it clear this isn't just a harmless thing, and is different from the other times.

Only rich Jill complains if you steal her 1 Dollar because she's STINGY! Stingy posh Jill.

Look, it's clearly a metaphor for regressive taxation policies such as a general sales tax and attitudes towards it within society.

Spock has already answered here, I can add that it doesn't matter that she is rich, the act itself does not justify it, and the way MC tried to justify himself to her "Well, it's not much money, let me give it back to you" makes it even worse.
