Ultimately this is the crux of it I think, given his stance on Mods and the attitude of the members of the Discord, DPC is clearly aware that his game will not only end up here, but other places too. Given the speed mods come out, it wouldn't take too long to crack and it's a pointless endeavour. I know we joke about DPC taking his time and finding things to extend the dev time, but I think he's got his head screwed on enough to not waste time on this
(though you could argue he wastes his time on the anti scrappy thing, but a line of code put in to detect if scrappy has been used doesn't seem that much compared to implementing some sort of DRM)

It's a tale as old as this site

This is not to slam anybody here, but this will be forever funny to me. Small time indie dev gets his start on F95, has a good product and the people love him. He gets bigger and bigger, and with the money is pouring in, he earns enough to make this his full-time job. He leaves this place in the dust, acting like he doesn't owe the people here a thing. Grows more successful as time goes on, while everyone here grumbles about him, shouting into the void about how his current business practices are going to cost him, and that they stopped supporting him. This site has been in his rear view mirror for a very long time, and to top it all off, he isn't appreciative of his legitimate paying customers either.

And he still rakes in the dough, no matter what. Funniest part is all of this applies to more devs than just DPC too

Now that most people pretty much have their saves set up and ready for next update I wanted to ask a few things that maybe someone tried cause I'm curious, but not curious enough to go and make full on run with it:

- MC still in love with Zoey, completely rejected any other girl in the game, is there something here? I realize Zoey showed up just recently, but does she still run off if MC rejected everyone and made it clear he still has feelings for Zoey?

- MC doesn't like Derek and goes for maximum -Relationship as well as doing stuff like not defending Maya and snitching on him to teachers and stuff and trying to fuck Ashley and beaing mean to him in any other possible way... What are consequences for this, can you still stay at his dorm when Josy show up? Is it mega awkward?

- MC only goes after teachers (Isabella, Catchy, Jade, Nora), I just wonder if someone in the game notices this trend and comments on it?

- MC is roleplaying a complete retard and fails all school tests and does poorly in minigames and always picks wrong answers to questions, anyone tried this? Is there even 'Game Over' in this game?

- MC makes 0 comments on Rooster (apart from automatic ones) and MC does not send any text messages, let's call this the anti-social playthrough... anyone tried it?

- MC goes after Arieth only... do we have any madmans in the thread?

You can always stay with Derek, he's the default option if you're not pursuing Sage or Bella. I believe you can't hug him at the end of Episode 10 if he doesn't like you enough.

No one notices jackshit, except if you go after Cathy, Bella finds her panties.

There is no "Game Over", but you can fail everything. Minimal changes.

Other than tasks that require texts and whatnot, there's no reason you couldn't. I haven't, though.

You can't really go after Arieth in the traditional sense. You can send her a dick pic over Rooster, and say you're better than Anthony at the HOTs party but that's pretty much it.

That scene happens no matter what as far as I know.

I didn't try a "teacher only" run, but for sure I know it's impossible to entertain all of them without consequences (e.g. Bella finding Cathy's panties), but I don't think any other girls comments on it?

Always found this topic intriguing to be honest.

Ignroing the bit about threats, that's simply wrong, no matter what, but is also a reality of internet culture, it wasn't that easy to make anonymous threats when you had to either make them in person or by sending actual mails (not so hard to track down).

The other part of the topic is what I find interesting, how many sales do we think a indie dev gets from sites like this and how many they lose?
The answer to the 2nd part of the question is easy, every copy that's just donwloaded for free is a lost sale, but the first part is what imo still makes it worth it.
Who's doing PR and marketing for these devs and teams? And where does it take place?
This is where I usually end up, sites like this are a necessary "evil" for these devs and teams, because they provide a completely free oppoprtunity to market their VNs.

As a personal example I would have never found BADIK (or 99% of the VNs I played) if it wasn't for f95, sure I'm not supporting every single one, but I do support 6-7 of these teams and all of them I found via this forum.

It's not about whether the game gets hacked or not. It's that his patrons will have an exclusive few hours or days of access to the game. And additionally, he'll be able to hurt the hated pirates.

We haven't gotten a new preview since the steam annoucement 14 days ago, I'm starting to think DPC won't release anymore but a final preview near the release plus the few clucks are still possible.

Quite depressing really, but understandable combining all the patreon plus all the steam previews, DPC already released over 50 "previews" for EP 11 already.

Some scenes were even over spoiled and some people were (rightfully) bitching about it.

I expect EP 12 to take 18 months considering it will be the season finale and the trend of ever growing updates.

Huh that's true, he always mentions when the preview is the last one, he is probably taking his time because of how many the Steam annoucement had.

Honestly, sharing all those from EP 11 was a bad move, specially considering it was something aimed at a non-patreon crowd, EP 9-10 stuff should have been enough with just a tiny bit of EP 11 there.

And this is why devs will always need sites like this more than they think they do. They can't just drop a patreon for a game without some sort of word of mouth. It's not like there's a multi million dollar advertising campaign for this or other games here. What's everyone's thoughts on the relationship viability for the main girls or side girls?

Majority of the side girls are either;

prostitutes - Lily, Nicole, Mel, Sarah, Rio, Quinn, Mona, Cammy, Sandy, Rose

strippers - Lily, Nicole, Sandy, Rose

teachers - Cathy, Nora, Bella, Jade

in a relationship - Elena, Heather, Sally, Tara, Josy, Maya, Bianca

That leaves very few girls to have an actual relationship with at the point the MC is in during the events of the game. My question is, would you be okay with being in a committed relationship with the above women or would you stick to the few girls to not make the list (Zoey, Jill, Sage, Becky???)?

P.S. Some of the "Vixens" would probably work. But because there's no seeds or path or have a lot of information about them yet I didn't add them. No Karen, Christy, Tiffani, Gina, Yoga Girl.
