Most wanted all those girls to choose from and that means more work and time. And I hear this episode
is bigger than season 1{will believe it when I play it lol!} But either way even through it's taken longer

You guys talk about render times but you forget the most important and time consuming part of development. The writing. I'm developing a VN myself and it is nowhere near as complex as this and I will say it is so time consuming you wouldn't believe. The amount of time I have to go back to finished scene to rewrite or add variation to the dialogue and then reflect those changes down the branches I can't possibly count. It is like a snowball. It just grows. And this is 11th episode. Rendering is easy. When you have sets and characters ready setting up a scenes and send them to render is a trivial job. Writing at this point would be a nightmare.

In one month DPC wrote and finished the following scenes:

• 11 scenes in a big free-roam event.
• 5 canon story scenes.
• A small free-roam event.
• 1 small lewd scene.
• Multiple scenes for Isabella's branch.
• Multiple scenes for Josy's & Maya's branch.
• Analyze if Sage/Jill/Others branches need more content.

Minigames, 60fps animations and free-roams take more time than writing the plot, especially for DPC who has had the plot created for years.

You said the most time consuming part was writing and that's clearly not true. If you follow DPC's weekly updates you would know he is a beast of a writer. He writes entire branches in a week.

I dunno what's the 'ick' with free roams some people seem to have. Is it because you just want to masturbate so non-lewd parts of the game in general bore you? Is it because you spam-click to progress as fast as possible and then can't figure out what to do in these free roams? Is it because you don't like parties and would rather sit cooped up in Maya's dorm instead and watch some movie? Just curious, not trying to judge.

So far we had only 5 parties right?

I didn't see any malice in your question, so I'll gladly answer it. In short, I find it tiresome.

The worst episode in my opinion is EP.9. The game's dynamics (the sequence of events) are not intuitive. You have to walk around the mansion like a blind man lost in a shootout to see the scenes. Depending on who you interacted with first, you may miss some additional dialogues.

For example, in EP.10 you miss the line of dialogue of the MC trying to convince Sally to play Beer Pong against him if you've already played before. I hate these free-roams with a passion. Like I said, I feel like the events don't happen in a fluid way. I just want to relax reading the game's dialogues without having to worry about where the next party target is that I need to find, click and interact with.

I've never hated the free roams but they can be tiresome when you have multiple paths open and must play through the free roams for every single path with no option to fast track through the roams. That being said, I like many aspects, especially the fact that it makes me more proactive as a player instead of just waiting for the next scene. I never tire of the story because of the little changes you can find wherever you go based on your actions.

As for the parties, the only party I didn't like was the HOT's party because of its major affinity choice feeling shoehorned. In my opinion, much of the story for the CHICK choice is lackluster, only further putting me off the CHICK path.

I keep getting exception errors just simply starting a new game.

At first I thought it must be the scrappyMod associated error, so I did a complete uninstall and reinstalled, booted up only the base game. Before it even reaches the first choice to choose whether or not I even want to play the mini-games it throws up an Exception Error. I hit Ignore, and it lets me continue, but this Exception Error continues popping up for literally every choice that comes up, including choosing what to name my character.

The game didn't do this before, at least not so persistently, was there any bug fixes that just hasn't made it to Steam yet?

DPC can hide the TC variable behind party activities that don't point to a bad choice for the already compromised MC.

To me, the free roam parties are a highlight. I think they are fun. It's proberbly why Episode 9 is one of my favorite episodes. I'm having a blast playing it. But I can understand that it might get tiresome after a few playthroughs in a row.
My least favorite would be the Preps party.

It seems we're on opposite ends here, bub. I enjoy the unknown variables we may trigger or not trigger but you hate them. It's only on my perfect playthroughs, which are always last, where I need to know that information and that's after I've already spent hundreds of hours playing through the new episode initially.
