It would actually be interesting to see what flaws can people point out for their favorite characters.
It's no secret I love Nicole, but I think she have a bad habbit of oversharing information with her friends. Now maybe this changes the more serious the relationship gets, but I wasn't big fan of Nicole saying MC's age at bar to Sandy for example.
Sage has a random guy she's met I think once spy on her boyfriend, with the implication she'd fuck him for doing so. She then potentially follows through on that and cheats with said random. All while she seemingly wishes to continue her relationship with Chad. Chad dumps Sage, she does not dump Chad. Early on she's essentially using Fuckface. She's happy to cheat and use sex to manipulate and get her way she was literally going to fuck him openly on a couch at a party. That entire thing is a red flag parade. In RL I'm noping out at the spying stage because if random hot redhead will spy and cheat on him, she'd do it to me. You couldn't get a bigger stay clear sign. If a relationship has reached the stage you're hiring spies that relationship has ran it's course but Sage cannot just let it go, same with thinking it's Mel or Sarah (and she's wrong the thots did nowt wrong). She's like a dog with a bone if angry. None of this exactly screams ideal girlfriend. And raises the question of what she'd be like with Fuckface during rough patches or
really rough patches such as if he engaged in a little
mumlandlady banging.
She's also temperamental, struggles to be emotionally open and is overly trusting. My wife's a redheaded Estonian; not exactly the most emotionally open people and yes big temper once it's lost. And trust me them two first things together are a recipe for a fucking explosion if not addressed. You can see that with Chad it's all built up in Sage. The latter one Sage seemingly misses what is right in front of her if she trusts someone (Chad and Quinn). Her extreme reaction to Chad is something I've seen with people that trust deeply, when finally suspicious they aggressively over correct. I don't know how intentional that was by DPC though. Sage shows a willingness to address the first two and the game hasn't shown if the third is even an issue for anyone but Sage herself.
I think most of Sages real flaws are front loaded. When she's going through a time of dissatifaction, anger, hurt, suspicion and loneliness. That is seemingly Sage at her worse but it is still deeply flawed behaviour. We see enough from her later on that temper and communication are her real main flaws and she has expressed a willigness to be more open. But honestly I like the fact she doesn't behave perfectly or even rationally at times because people don't. Sage been far from perfect makes her a better character not a worse one imo. I also feel Fuckface meeting Sage when she's such a mess deepens their dynamic, you can see why Sage regards him highly after it all whether he's a friend or boyfriend.
