Have you noticed it's the first time in weeks he didn't mention the length of the render queue?

I personally don't care, I sure as heck don't hate DPC, but I don't even know him.

• Is BADIK one of my fav VNs? Absolutely
• Is it the only one? Hell no
• Do I have other interests besides AVNs? Despite what some might be inclined to think, absolutely yes (and that's not even coounting work)

Bottom line since I'm not a paying customer of DPC I'm not stressing over when the new episodes will come out, they'll come when they'll come.

I still can have fun interacting with folks in this thread that I honestly believe is the best on this site, lots of nice and funny folks.

Mostly the same with me. I buy the episodes when they get released on Steam or GOG but I usually don't subscribe to his Patreon (I did a month on the lowest now because I was in some discussions and it was the easiest way to read all the update info).
One of my favorites but not the only one. Also not my only interest.
I also don't know him, but my philosophy is to not assume the worst about people so I tend to believe what they say unless they show themselves being untrustworthy.

I like this thread because there are, like you said, a lot of fun and nice people here. But when the complaining, mocking and hating starts, I just get very tired and annoyed. It's not why I'm here. I want to talk about the fun and cool things about the game, not how everything sucks. So I try to reason, I try to explain how I interpret it to be using logic, hoping they will understand. But as usual, I expect too much.

Forcing him to switch billing method on all his Patreons or he wouldn't get any more subscribers, as a respons to Apple charging 30% more to use the Patreon app on their system. He wasn't the only one, everybody was pissed about that because it was a nightmare to deal with.

Wasn't there a 3-week test phase last year before the first Patreon releases?
If I remember correctly, then we're already at the end of January, not counting the development phases still to be done.
I'm opting for a release here in early/mid-March.

Sure, because changing the billing plan for your business and not getting any new Patreon subscribers before you do sounds like so much fun to do in the middle of developing a game. I'm sure he chose to be without getting new subscribers from the Patreon app until the game was finished because it was fun.

Guys give DPC a break, UHD 120fps Unreal Engine 5 cinematic of mine and Nicole's wedding is not easy job to pull off, but I'm sure it will look nice!

On a more serious note, it's always quite entertaining reading delusional comments after devlog drops. People get so mad they start sputing literal lunacy. Some say this game is barely average and overhyped, some say it is abandoned (???), some say it will come out in December 2025, some say DPC did nothing at all... I'm a bit sad about no new previews, but that's about it. I just hope I don't have any unfortunate events irl preventing me from enjoying the update when it comes out.

Darkwen, let's be objective, your dislike of extreme wealth is understandable given your environment and what greedy rotten corporations are doing to your country, but he's just an indie porn game developer who made a couple million on his project. By US standards, he's not even rich, barely enough to buy a house in NY
His main problem is not money but absurd ambitions to do bigger, more noticeable, to write his name in the history of AVNs, that is, I would say DPCs ego is his worst enemy.
