I'm thinking of starting playthroughs with the MC named Fuckface, Patrick, Oscar and Lucky, since the game reacts to those names. Does anybody know where in the game that is? Fuckface is only one scene with Steve, right? And Patrick I can guess involves either Maya, her dad or both? Oscar, I guess has to do with Tara's asshole of a boyfriend?

I also heard there might be other names the game reacts to?

When Sage asks your last name you can get a whole lot of different reactions from her depending on the name you choose.

If you use Morgan or Burke or Morgan Burke, Burke Morgan she gets really shitty at you.
If you use any other names in the game like Royce, Burgmeister, Bailey, Taylor, Roberts, she has different reactions again.
If you use famous Neils like Armstrong or Diamond, she has more reactions.
If you use the same surname as your first name like "Bob Bob", there's another one.

On a more serious note, it's always quite entertaining reading delusional comments after devlog drops. People get so mad they start sputing literal lunacy. Some say this game is barely average and overhyped, some say it is abandoned (???), some say it will come out in December 2025, some say DPC did nothing at all... I'm a bit sad about no new previews, but that's about it. I just hope I don't have any unfortunate events irl preventing me from enjoying the update when it comes out.

Since it's come up again, it should be noted that Apple charging 30% doesn't mean that they get 30% and DPC is left with just 70% (even excluding other fees from Patreon, etc.). DPC would still get 100%, it's just that Apple would get 30% of that value as well - they charge more to subscribe through Apple's platform (unless the Patreon creator is daft enough to choose the option to willingly take the hit themselves).

There's more to it, with Patreon fees etc., but nothing changes except Apple get more money because those signing up via Apple pay more. If it's $1 for everyone else, on Apple it would be $1.30 and Apple get the extra $0.30 of that.

It looks different, but it's basically the same.

If I need 1$ and my client is willing to pay up to 1$ we make the deal.

If Apple comes out and says "to give 1$ to him, you need to give 30 cents to me", I loose my client.

(Of course, not all the pledgers, but surely some subscriber is lost if they have to pay more)

That's one I didn't know and I thought I'd done everything. Say what you will about DPC, but his ability to put this little Easter Eggs in amongst all his branching is among the very best.

I've seen some of the images from it, but I've never actually sat through Jill's recital in its entirety. It's very well done: the reaction shots from the various characters, Derek uses his lighter but Bella stops him, we see Jamie recording MC on the guitar, Maya and Josy hold hands during the performance, Bianca is pretty turned on by MC's fingering, Bella continues to text Jill to encourage her some more as MC plays, the emotion in Jill's face throughout the entire scene. And of course, Bella is moved to tears by Jill and MC's duet

Sometimes I wonder if I'm the only one here who doesn't absolutely hate DPC's guts and thinks the game is worth the wait.
I remember a couple of years ago, everybody praised him and I got so much crap for criticizing something about the game, now you get crap for liking it and not hating him.

No offense but the way you depend DPC feels like that you are one of his blind supporters who thinks he can do no wrong. The reply you post when someone criticize sometimes across like bootlicking and it becomes a full blown argument in this thread. One instance is your argument with ChipLecsap . You guys went on it back and forth and it becomes quite a show.

In this thread alot of people including me will rant about him including about his practice, vague update and many other things. This one of the few sites that you can voice out your frustrations without getting in trouble even if we talk shit about dpc.
