You can't even see Signature on mobile version of site while viewing on phone. And since I used to mostly lurk on phone, I never even bothered getting a signature until yesterday.

You can see sigs in landscape mode, just turn your phone.

(Of course, not all the pledgers, but surely some subscriber is lost if they have to pay more)

Note that it only applies to new subscribers from November 2024 - so no existing subscribers will have to pay more and therefore it's not likely to equate to a loss of subs. It will though potentially stop some new ones from signing up (unless they know they can skip the extra 30% by just not using Apple's platform to sign up).

The issue is that it has been years since Summertime Saga made any progress. He's ostensibly been working on behind the scenes tech with a little bit of reworking old stuff doing nothing for ages.

It's possible. He said episode 11 is the about the length of the entire season 1, so by the time he gets to the final episode 16 that could wind up being as long as seasons 1,2,3 and a bit of 4 combined.
