Yes there is obviously a spy, but at the moment the laptop is kept in a safe and only three people know the new combination: Rusty, Tommy and MC. The phone is a much easier target.

Previous to the Cathy incident the laptop was widely available, and Vinny also had access to the safe, until the party when Vinny tries to get into the safe and is unable to. So by all likelihood the spy is Vinny, possibly with help from someone else in the DIKs.

Vinny is definitely a suspicious guy, but unless he set up spyware in the laptop, he can't be the guy who gave the Jade video to Stephen. And I really doubt Vinny is that good with tech.

Regarding the DIK's notebook, it was outside the safe the moments before it was hacked during the party (correct me if I'm wrong). You don't need a password to access the content unless the driver is encrypted. Just boot using a Linux live distro and you can browse all the data without logging in the operating system. The nerds probably aren't retarded like the other people in the College so they could easily do it.

Dammi I was able to avoid Spock guilting me into a new playthyrough but it's becoming more and more difficult

To be completely honest I think the whole vibe at the dinner hits right IF there was any kind of interaction with Jade (leaked or not), so I found it a bit jarring when Tremolo was sweating it out at the realization of who Jade was in a playthrough where I had NO interaction with her at all (except her very first approach).
