Not too long ago, Nvidia made an announcement of the 50 series. If someone hopes that it will give a boost to performance, I want to disappoint you: it will not happen. It's not just because of DPC itself, it's because of the Nvidia Iray engine itself.
The thing is that Irey is a single-threaded engine, that is, lighting, shadows, materials, geometry are rendered one by one, and not simultaneously, as for example in the engine V-Ray.
If I were you, I wouldn't get my hopes up so much for the 50th series.

DPC can ask Huang to generate fake DAZ samples by using AI..ah yeah, it doesn't work like that here.

The only advantage of 5090 is 32GB of memory instead of 24 like 4090, which can help DPC in large scenes with many characters. It will slightly reduce the time with scene management. But nothing more. There may be some boost in rendering speed, but DPC will figure out how to kill it.

To be fair we don't really know how the cheating points are going to be used.

I mean you get them from doing stuff with girls who aren't really an option on the others path, so having a moment with her while on a main girls path may give you points, but by no means a guarantee that it goes anywhere.

i dont have problem with the affinity system. it fit in my logic. you do things. things form your personality. girls like or hate your personality.

There are the cuda cores that really make render fast. The memory is like a cap: if all your stuff fit in it, OK; if not, you'll go to CPU rendering and suffer in the bowels of hell. But the cudas, after you manage to fit everything in the VRAM you have, are what really make a difference in rendering speed. And the 5090 have 21760 cuda cores, while the 4090 have 16384 (there are probably other factors for processing speed, like hz, but cudas are a big thing and there's almost a 1/3 increase).

Yes, that's a 30% increase. Not much, but considering that he'll have to think less about how to cram heavy scenes into the GPU memory due to the extra 8GB - I think he'll upgrade. Again, knowing DPC, I'm sure he'll figure out how to make sure "my rigs don't sit idle and don't work faster than me."
