I've been play-testing for the better part of the week. I am now focusing on continuity and replaying the entire game, Episodes 1-11, during my tests. I will make a couple of playthroughs like this in the upcoming week, and it's pretty time-consuming as the game grows bigger.

He's probably using SanchoMod, no... worse than that, he's using the satanic Scrappymod to speed up the testing because he got annoyed by minigames and free roams.

Then, animations are a bottleneck like most of us always said. He could pay online rendering service and get all done in two days. I have the prophetic vision he won't do it

I don't it feels like changing the meaning of what is, is Take season one yes Josy had very little screen time but clearly she stood but no maya til the end. Josy doesn't need drama if you take Maya out of it things still work the same she stills has insecurities which with her going into modeling this ep will or can be over come. Maya I don't think you can say the same unless you like broken woman that bitch all day long about there shitty life while resting in a spa
Josy and Sage mirror a lot yes they differ in area but it pretty much the same story one is just younger and tiny

Ultimately though, If you take Maya out of the equation.... what are we left will
Bella - her story would continue regardless, we would have her and the MC falling for each other over seasons 1 & 2 we still have her husband mystery, we still have the fact the two shouldn't be together and such
Jill - her story would continue regardless, we would still have them falling for each other over seasons 1 & 2, we would still have MC bringing her out of her shell, and we still have the mystery of who MC and Jills parents knew each other if at all
Josy - She would never have had Maya holding her back with MC at the very beginning, MC would have not felt bad at the meal she prepared therefore guaranteeing he slept with her, and they'd probably be together by the time she got to B&R - there's no drama going forward, Yes she insecure and MC can help with that, but there's no drama, no mystery
Sage - Without Maya, the story would continue, Sage would still recruit MC to spy, MC will still teach her how to play guitar, and Sage will still fall for MC the only difference here without Maya is there's no longer any reason to go the Burkes house and find out Sage is a Burke, again like josy there's no real drama or mystery here. you could argue that there can be drama with banging Jade, but without never heading to the burkes' house would it be there?

So yes I can see your argument about Josy and Sage having similar stories, but Sage has a bit more Drama left than Josy does

Ultimately and I like Josy, I just wish she didn't come with Maya... I don't think there is anything left to tell there.

I mean there is a lot of foreshadowing like spring break, valentines, sage possibly staying for her masters if in a relationship. The prostitution ring with Stephen and the scholarship. Mona possibly dead.

Chad being nice to the MC (He pretty much vouched to dawe). Jacob settling down with Zoey or Jacob being the father of the arieth (idk how to spell her name) baby. To name a few.

we are still stuck at thanksgiving and he talks about spring break and valentines day.

Josy's story is better then all of them by a very wide margin, Sage is the only girl that comes close story wise and her is pretty much the same as Josy. Bella is my second favorite but she got no story what so other then James left, being interesting isn't a story. Quinn's story is better then most of the main girls. I don't blame the girls just DPC poor writing .. ok I blame Maya but it not like she would read the story or this post anyway

Dude, what the hell are you smoking? Josy has zero story of her own. Everything about Josy in this game involves her being part of Maya's story. We know snippets of her life and can infer some things about her, but she hasn't really got much going on that is her own thing and she's never really had her own thing going on that's comparable to what the other MGs deal with. The whole thing with Oscar was to highlight that fact, especially to her and make her realise she's got nothing going on that's uniquely hers.

It's next level delusional simping to think she has a better story than any other girl when she literally has nothing going for her on a personal level, and I say that as someone who likes her

Today's update will be short, which is good because we're at the end of the development cycle.

I've been play-testing for the better part of the week. I am now focusing on continuity and replaying the entire game, Episodes 1-11, during my tests. I will make a couple of playthroughs like this in the upcoming week, and it's pretty time-consuming as the game grows bigger.

I've also been taking some time to write content for episode 12 and write the code for the remaining mini-games in Season 3.

I checked the render speed of the animation queue today, and February 7-9 still stands as the completion date. Beta testing will commence shortly thereafter and beta testers have been alerted.

I will post a preliminary changelog for you next Friday and release the final preview of episode 11 before that.

All the MGs are somewhat broken in this game, yes, even Josy, because they've all got issues they deal with and ignoring that to pretend they're perfect and they don't need anything to be better or change is ridiculous simping that, if you did that IRL, would be very unhelpful and harmful to the girl.

Also, if things were different and they weren't together, Maya's main issue would still be an abusive and overly controlling father, even if he's not threatening her academic and financial over her sexual orientation because that wouldn't be known to him, as well as her mother's illness making things at home traumatising. Josy's issue would be...not getting along with her step-mother and brother. Also some issues with fearing loss of love and having little in the way that makes her stand out from a crowd, but both have their issues, and Maya's are still probably far greater than Josy's.
