So he could use his Maya one. Why'd you quote that old comment?![]()
I saw someone quote a comment from a 3 1/2 year old post a few weeks ago. Now that was an old comment! And boy, did I give him shit for it.

I can believe that that's true currently, but it would not be hard for DPC to set something up so that editing variables (via console or save edit) sets up a time bomb that he can detonate in any future release.I can confirm that cheating via Console or Save Editor is not detectable unless it leads to something that would be impossible in a normal run, like setting your money to more than the maximum or being on two paths at the same time, or being on Quinn's path with a Chick affinity, and so on.
Anyway, that's not automatic. DPC would have to put in his next releases some "if" clause that check for anomalies.
And BTW - She's your aunt.I mean he's posted most of them out of the blue hasn't he?
Anyway, out of the blue, here's the Jill version!

i'm only copying you, i said i hope for something, then you started ranting about something. so i replied with a rant as wellUhh.. k?
Not sure where this rant came from. Also to say only men are money/power hungry, lol.
well them too, i was aiming at a different company, but since we're not alowed to talk about other games, i wont mention it in hereYou're talking about Microsoft, aren't you? Microsoft Office vs. Microsoft 365.
Just for this post you've earned yourself someOh come on! I'm sick and tired of the aunt Jill BS.
Jill is not MC's aunt!
She is his niece!
The one who got Lynette pregnant was Geoff Royce's dad. So Geoff is MC's half-brother and Jill is his half-niece. And Lana was his half-niece too.

He said last week that there won't be another until he's ready to announce that beta testing will start. Or something like that. Was there supposed to be a status update by DPC today? He tends to be very consistent with his Friday updates.
This will be the next-to-last status update for episode 11. After beta testing has started, I'll post the final status update on episode 11.
It's fine no harm done

I can believe that that's true currently, but it would not be hard for DPC to set something up so that editing variables (via console or save edit) sets up a time bomb that he can detonate in any future release.
The simplest (and easiest to work around) would be to create a dummy variable with the sole purpose of recording the value of some flag or other long-term stable variable (like which path you choose at the end of chapter 8) and then ignore that dummy variable entirely until it's eventually checked against the actual variable, which would seem to have been changed successfully up until that check is done...
There are other tricks that can be done, depending on how much effort he wants to put in, but the basic idea remains - redundantly store multiple versions of the same information, only some copies of which are actually used for anything, and then later compare the active versions against the backups.
To check something, you need that "something" to exist, no? Save editors don't add anything new to saves, nor new variables nor something else. Dev console flag "enabled/disabled" is checked and tracked, but only to block player of getting most of Steam achievements. You can read the code and figure out where DPC added checks for enabled dev console flag and what particular achievemnts this blocks (most mini-games related ones, in short)I can believe that that's true currently, but it would not be hard for DPC to set something up so that editing variables (via console or save edit) sets up a time bomb that he can detonate in any future release.
