Two persons qualified saying the same thing, two important characters in the story telling you about his genius, DPC really wants us to buy into that. Not only that, emphasizing he is one of their best, if only he would apply himself, Maya as well tells Fuckface there is more to Derek. But that is the problem we are only told, we are never shown a single use of his superior and deep intellect.
The smart and deep Derek is completely inept in any social interactions with anyone not in the DIK fraternity, he is so deep that he shoots vodka tampons up his ass, tries to win the lottery to help his sister, blabs every secret any time someone tells him something, constantly puts his foot in his mouth with Jade and the feminists, truly the mark of a smart and deep person that one. I am sure after he gets his ass chewed the 7th time he will learn

Lily, potentially. She's already quickly working her way up in HOTs and organizing parties, which really pisses off Quinn. Lily has leadership skills, she can make deals and is pretty smart. Also her desire to prove herself and prove something to her parents.
