One of the best unintentionally funny moments in the game.

It didn't feel funny to me at all, especially seeing how many teens get into financial trouble because of people they should be able to trust (like parents).

Imo it was more sad than funny.

The situation is not funny thats why I said unintentionally funny, the girls' reactions to how unrealistically naive Maya has been in the loan storyline is what makes it funny. Even Jill with zero life experience outside of her sheltered lifestyle seems gobsmacked.

And it still isn't that unrealistically naive. Like I said, there are at least thousands if not tens of thousands of teens in the real world that got into shit because of the same mindset Maya had.

She was at her wits end, during the scavenger hunt too, it was the quick thinking of Josy that saved her. And it was Josy again who was taking initiative of making new friends (Jill) and asking for help for Maya's sake.
