You did put it too late, put it right at the start of new update and it will set ep4_toldDerekAboutJade itself or at least it was in my case. If not then put it manually ep4_toldDerekAboutJade = 0 but again, do it at the start. You can check if variable is set by just putting it name like ep4_toldDerekAboutJade, you can also check what is the value of it on your previous game version if you still have it.

save seems broken at first scene with Lana, it just crashes no matter what i choose, oh well waited over a year for the game update i will have to wait and see if the mod update fixes the issue.

A little rant / review of this episode.Loved the episode honestly. (i am chick bella/jill/ lover) But as multiple people have stated, the game has so many girls, and "branches" that each update we miss out on something. My favorite girl is Nicole, and this episode had nothing with her, people who love quinn/riona also got nothing (sexual). Which is a problem for this game now, an update takes a year, and we are going to miss out on something. So people who love quinn, will now have to wait another year.
But to me this game is still far FAR beyond anything i have played in this space, honestly to me its not even close.

Now would the games quality be lowered, if he started hiring people to do stuff, and make updates maybe every 6 months instead, yeah i think it would. But what would you prefer? the current version of updates, where we get one every 1 year+ but the quality is so so good, or would you rather have it come out faster, but the quality fall 10-20 %?
Personally, i sit around everytime and update is announced and wait like a kid at christmas, but i also love basically every main girl in this game, so i get something everytime.

I haven't tried it yet (only did Lily route on DIK), but is her reaction to MC having slower/more romantic sex in the CHICK affinity different? When being a DIK she is extremely disappointed afterwards.

It's a great game. However, I think a bug-fixing version like 0.11.1 will be released soon, just like 0.9.1 and 0.10.1. So I think I'd better wait for the version that has fixed all the bugs while waiting for the walkthrough before starting to play. After all, estimating according to the current growth rate of the release time, the release time of each chapter in the future may exceed one year. I can take my time and there's no need to rush.

For lily it's worst, she taunted you for not being rough and leave with no words.

She's the best although it's tough situation. She is a stripper. She said to MC (on the barbecue party?) that she does what she does BECAUSE she didn't fall in love, she cannot do it while working in there (for next 5 years or so).

At the same time she finds MC great guy and she want to "roll" with him without emotional attachments (which would jeopardize her stripper work). Her reaction is defense mechanism to run away from any more emotional stuff which slow sex surely caused. She would love to be with him but at the same time she has clear plans about her future and being in love with MC is contradictory to them.
