It's a really tricky one, and game mechanics or how to get scenes, answers to puzzles etc, they are usually fair game.
But I really think for a few days any 'reveals' should be behind a spoiler as a courtesy.
It's not for me personally (I don't give a shit about spoilers - never have), but people should be able to come and get help without finding out something that will be revealed as they play.
And I totally agree with you that you can show common curtesy and try to avoid spoiling things the best you can. I usually do it when I discuss movies, shows, games and litterature but not always.
While I do agree with you that we could try to avoid spoiling things for each other, it is just plain dumb to complain about getting spoiled in a thread where one of the most anticipated releases for one of the most popular VNs have just happened.

Well it's as I said, ultimately it's upto.the person not wanting to be spoiled to avoid spoilers. Milton is right though, people should be kind and use the spoiler tag (it's what it's therefore) but I don't think you can moan/complain when people dont
