I don't think I will be playing BAD for longer. First, obviously, every update has become 1 and a half year longer. Some progression with certain characters will take us 3 years to happen or even longer.

I absolutely agree that the game takes too goddamn long to make.

I realize some of that is because of how complex it is—how many alternate timelines is DPC juggling by now?—and that’s legitimate; I have no beef about that; that’s a feature not a bug. I’ve played too many games where your “choices” are bullshit, with no consequences whether you say the nice thing or the rude thing, and you’re forced to fuck every girl the developer throws at you. DPC has fully embraced alternate paths, and that’s the only reason I’ll play this game dozens of times, whereas other games only need one runthrough—assuming I don’t quit first from frustration or boredom.

But some of that is because of three things that only DPC gives a shit about: detailed, high-quality renders, including 60fps video; minigames; and, increasingly, recording his own music for the game. (Though I get why he’s recording his own music—it’s hard to find quality community-commons stuff out there, and artists who don’t mind that their stuff is being used for a porn game.) This shit takes a lot of time! But some of you love the minigames, so that part’s your fault.

Some plot have been taking part of the game for too long.

Also absolutely agree. I haven’t played ep 11 yet, but the spoilers make it clear Maya’s student-loan deal was resolved pretty damn quickly—whether Tremolo stole the documents or not. Pretty much every plot thread that we’ve been fretting over for years can be wrapped up just as easily. But isn’t that typically the case with mysteries?—they’re all annoyingly simple once they’re solved, and all fan speculation regularly blows it way out of proportion. These mysteries got stretched out over years now, so we falsely suspected it was something proportionally huge and dark… and no they’re not; none of em are. Shit, the game’s about college kids who think everything’s a big deal.

Oh, and he is still adding new characters, that he will probably spend some time on. Lets not even forget about that.

I haven’t. Zoey got added to the game in a big way—and just after Tremolo picked a girl! I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s another one coming. Probably Yoga Girl. My wife thinks she’s gonna be like the Mother in How I Met Your Mother—she’s a big mystery for most of the show, Ted falls for her in the very last episode, and there’s your happy ending… till the producers fucked it up and killed her off, which I’m still annoyed at. Maybe she’s the potential happy ending in case Tremolo fucks it up with the other girls; maybe he’s destined to fuck it up, one way or another, with every last one of them. Don’t know yet! That should piss everyone off. But hey, it’s DPC’s game to fuck up… once he completes it in 2035 or so.

also puzzles are rly difficult ngl.. puzzle box felt impossible and nonsensical, "math" mine sweeper im too dumb for because i thought i followed the instructions but still got some wrong.. word finder puzzle is fun but especially for not english native speaker its hard to find all words because some of them u have never heard of before..
i like party planner, brawler, pack quest.

I am taking it slow. I got to Christmas party and it is hell of convenient that main love interests in the game skip the party and go to Bella's. Because God forbid Sage on or not on Sage path take part in competitions and activities. I understand dev is walking a tight rope as not to angry some insecure people, and I do see them getting together after they talked about celebrating more together, so good on dev to set it up before. As for the update so far is pretty good however some of the drama at the beginning was a bit annoying and the contract resolution was so stupid, yet I am used to it in this story and I don't expect more so I am not disappointed.
Fuck that cube and math mini game.

Most things this season have been a bit of bait and switch. We have the Zoey running scene, we have the actual set up of the Xmas thing being nothing but Derek, we have the contract amounting to nothing really as it turns out her dad sees what an arse he's been.
There's a chance this again will turn out to be nothing as the teases have done before.

There are 2 routes where Sage doesn't say it back, if you have less than 22 RP, which is probably insanely hard to get, I had 44 If you are playing her Route and picking answers that piss her off on purpose, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you are doing it wrong

I'm having this problem, all my saves are doing this at the beginning of season 11, I downloaded the mod fix.

because all my saves were made with the mod, all story lines I have the final saves. So playing the game from the beginning 4 times again is out of the question.

It's giving me NameError: Name 'mod_gr' is not defined.

My game just closes after the ep 10 recap without any error notice... just straight up closes... Anyone had a similar issue? what's the fix?

Anytime I download any version of this game and extract it, I get an error saying the file is corrupt. I never see anyone else with this issue. Anybody know how to fix this?

I get the same error, someone spoil what happens when you solve this puzzle, is it worth waiting for a fix or should I just continue playing?

For anyone unable to get past the first free roam and are stuck with only Optional "Solve the puzzle box" here's what i did

step 1.


step 2.
BeingADik-0.XX.0-pc-lin\game\scripts\freeroam\episode11 (or whatever you called the game)
and open ep11_freeroam_room1.rpy (with notepad or vscode, i did it with notepad)

step 3.
scroll to the bottom of the code
and change the line under "label ep11_freeroam1_room_end_label:" to "if True:"
and change the line directly under "$ renpy.pause(0.5)" to "elif False:"
it should then look like the following:

Warning: this change may break your game in the future I have no idea, but it worked for me
putting this warning again in case you forgot.

Step 5.
close the game (if it was open) and reopen again
