Fuck no, this is legitimately bad writing and creates unnecessary drama for zero reason. And for your information, I reject her all the time cause frankly she pales in comparison to the girls in the main routes.

explain to me this, you take 8 fucking episodes to finally establish a relationship not that “dating” just for a character to come in on Episode 10/11 and derail that effort with zero input (your character decides to meet them all the time, and decides to meet them in their house)

Well like it or not but there is no character but Neil in this story who shaped/influenced tremolo as much as Zoey. Sage is next but theres a biiiiiiiiiiiiiig gap between them (and Sage is my fav).

Tremolo is not you even when you like to self insert. You may dont give a shit about her but the protagonist of our story does. There is no "effort derailed" if you dont chose like that, and if you take the choice to get back to her that can lead to interesting subplots too.

Im for example kinda curious how a chick playthrough where you go 100% with all maingirls (aka break Josys heart and so on) -> decide for Jill -> cheat/flirt heavy with bianca -> go back to Zoey and than maybe going for bianca again or who knows would look like.

I think the opportunity existing is fun. This doesnt have to be your main playthrough.

You know sometimes less is more, and it could lead to be a more consistent storytelling. I feel like DPC started to go overboard with a lots of things now.

Well at least the choice in this episode didnt needed any bonus renders or anything as it already existed for the others path and will probably stay like that (DPC using others path zoey scenes for the mg -> zoey path zoey scenes) so its not really thaaaat much more work i would argue.

He does way more other timewasting stuff imo, the branching is what makes being a dik so good imo, being a dik as a more or less linear story would suck ass. I would prefer him skipping 90% of the minigames instead of story branching.

I have never been a Tommy fan, but I have to admit his defence of Tremolo during the Nick stuff, regardless of what you'd done with Josy or Heather made him go up a long way in my book. His admiration and proudness of his maggot son just appears to be growing. I don't mind the guy now, and the banter about Gina's tape being underwear or not was great too.

I never give a fuck about Heather so that was never an issue, I was upset that I was not allowed to kick his ass, after the Josy thing, but , he was grumpy and move on . and He was awesome in this episode.
And yeah that sanding up for MC was great.

Does anyone feel like the author gargles the MC's balls a bit too much? I've yet to see any huge consequences for the MC in the game, except for the Jade thingy maybe, like for example he cheats on the mid-term and instead of getting expelled he gets a slap on the wrist, he steals from Jill she's a little upset and gets over it soon after, he does dumb shit that would realistically have huge consequences and generally cheats with everyone in the DIK path but it feels like its written off as 'haha MC is such a silly little goose'?

I mean yeah but that creates more unnecessary branching and work instead of just creating a short solution.
Example is if you told jacob to go for her, in a MG path and others.
- You get a scene at a coffee shop where you talk with her about feelings and thats it
- Others path, do whatever you want xD

And you can easily mooostly avoid her.

She is used as a bit of drama enabler, but without zoey dpc would just use another silly reason like the rebound thing or jm reveal or whatever.

Its like blaming maya for tremolo putting more weight on her problem than on quinn's call or for having to deal with maya at all, its just dpc's way of creating these scenes, its not the fault of the characters in the story. DPC would just find other wrenches to throw between our legs to create drama.

Without Zoey tremolo would maybe have thougths of being a insecure virgin or whatever which keeps him from just enjoying his relationships
