As for the story, it makes more sense to reduce it to a Vinny/Quinn face-off.
That's the thing though, what we get here is not a face-off. You don't even get to see Buddy actually getting arrested, much less any sort of confrontation. I don't think this is an accident. Vinny is just a small fry in this, not the major antagonist.

(he may be antagonist for Fuckface and the DIKs, but not really Quinn, with the way game has spent lot of time establishing how she just runs circles around him)

So it wouldn't surprise me at all if it turns out that Buddy gets away from it one way or another, and then escalate to some sort of actual confrontation, instead of having the whole thing resolved off-screen.

Yea seems so.

Jill : "Matthew is cheating on you."
Bianca: "Matty?"
Bianca: "..."
Bianca: "No way."
Jill : "MC?"
MC: "At the Halloween party, I walked around and checked on everyone..."
MC: "And when I went into Rusty's room, I saw Matthew making out with Olivia."
So that seems like a redundant variable, as I would imagine they would not have that conversation without you first telling Jill in bed at end of Ep9.
Thanks for the info. No need to replay!

Do women play this game i mean is it only men?Just curious do they even play AVNS?
Read the first pages of this thread. It seems there were females here at one time, but they were driven away for one reason or another at some point. You can find them discussing this game and others in other non-game specific threads.

Nothing surprising there and it's neither bad writing nor too much work. Those are fully conscious decisions made by DPC, first you gotta create a hook players will care about and then you can deliver it in future updates. It's neither good nor bad, just a way to write captivating story.
The moment I saw presents list I knew we wouldn't get to reveal them in this episode
There are many things in this game so far that you can see that he didn't know what to do after and gave some really bad solution, ending. If he was fully conscious of his decisions, being as detailed as he seem to be, He wouldn't give those shabby outcomes. It is clearly a decision made by someone who started doing something because they thought it would be cool, but later on didn't know how to handle or what to do with it. I know you guys will try to argument and defend DPC at any cost, but I can see many flaws already. He started this project with one thing in mind, but the game got a certain fame, became somewhat successful, that he started adding things based on that success and it is clearly seen after episode 6-7.

All the minigames that came after, the way he tried to change brawler and is now adding a fight competition to MC, which is obviously an idea he got from other games. Such as A man for all, Unbroken, the other college one that we usually compare to BAD, they all had this fight competition in their plot in the first place, now he is adding on his own game. DO you think he had it planned back there? The music gig aswell, do you think he had it planned back then? I am sure he didn't.

He changed a lot of what he had planned as he started adding new stuff into the game. It happens with a lot of creators. It sometimes cause them to lose focus. He himself said something similar back in the day. He said that he started learning new things and he wanted to mess with it for a lil bit. THat is something that he didn't plan previously, but decided to add as he started to learning more. With that, the complexity of the game has grown and now he has more stuff to take care of and deal with that wasn't previously planned. If you can't see something so obvious I don't know what to tell you.

And as the guy said, I also can't see a good ending for this. I can already see a certain quality decrease in the storyline, even in the interaction with certain characters. In my mind, I feel like he is a little lost, without knowing what to do, Reason why the updates are moving more towards mini games and free roams. A VN where every episode content has become 70% of games and only 30% story progression. The solutions given to certain plots has been very disappointing and some storyline has become poorer. My opinon though.

That's a problem you have when you buy stock 3d assets made by people who never considered the logistics. :sneaky:
But isn't that house based on a real building, or was it movie set prop in some horror? I think it should be a famous building, if I am not misremembering.

So its Magnar himself spying on us. overlooked that part as it played out.
Now i wonder how Chad came up with the idea to meet up in the library, it would be the last place he'd go in, even for a secret meeting.

Although i also can't think of any other place what would be risk free of someone listening in on our conversation.

Yeah, turns out it's apparently really built this way: and it originally appeared in Amityville Horror.

There's a video of the real thing out there too, and it's not just this house, but one nearby that's done the same way. TIL some Americans apparently consider windows valid doors, too.

Completely agree.

Too bad I'm way too invested now.

I disagree mostly but it doesnt change anything in the end.

Imo DPC had it planned out exactly like that, its kinda his writing style to create fake problems/drama which is quickly resolved in the end, it dont consider it too bad, its a slice of life avn afterall.

The fighting competition was 100% planned from the very beginning , mc being trained by his dad laid the groundwork very soon. NEVER EVER did dpc look at college k**** or similar avns like that to get that "idea" lol

Im not the biggest fan of these fake drama scenes either but its 100% intended

I 100% agree, also the ending of this episode left me on a very bad note. It felt short, maybe even a bit rushed
It was rushed, and ended very abruptly. All to pretty much end exactly where it started. The end was the most annoying part of the episode. I was fine with stuff that was going on, even having to miss out on Quinn scenes, if it had been given room to breathe. It's like he lightly brushed on this episode, sprinkling seeds of a story in places, but never giving it the time it needed to land. So it lacks depth and character. It felt like this episode was more like someone going back in to try and fill in backstory, while trying to introduce new ideas, but having too much to do you just speedrun it and thus fail to satisfy either attempt.

I see a lot of people talking about the drama and whatnot, but that's what I am here for. The story of it. I think the last episode was spot on with tackling a serious topic and a serious contention of the game while giving it the time and effort it needed to tell it. People can say they didn't like the bit and thought it was melodramatic, but that's their perspective. It was still treated seriously, had all the elements of telling a story, while giving a serious plot of the story the time it deserved. When you compare this episode to the last one, this one clearly falls short. However, I can only hope that the weakness of this episode is like most stories get a flat point before it really takes off. If DPC takes the time it needs to sell the plot points, this next update/episode could be the best he has ever done. It's hard to do that without pissing people off though, especially with how long he is taking for updates to come out now. It took over a year for this, and fell flat to several people. How much longer is it going to take for him to write other plot points to the level he did on episode 10? I suspect it could be 2+ years.
